Croatia National Tourism Board attended the largest travel show in Asia-Pacific, OTM in Mumbai, India, where Croatia was crowned the most promising new travel destination. The travel show was attended by 1,300 exhibitors from 60 countries.

According to the data available, 76,000 German tourists visited Croatia in 2017, while 56,000 Indian tourists flocked to the country last year.

Croatia has successfully received over 470,000 tourists and more than 3 million overnight stays in 2017, which is a 15 percent increases in the numbers.

With an aim to make Croatia a 12-month tourist destination, the country is being presented at tourism fairs across the world. The Croatian National Tourism Board main office head, Kristjan Staničić said, “This year we expect the positive trends on the German market to continue and Croatia to position itself even better as an attractive boating destination.”

The travel show and fair OTM represents an excellent opportunity for meetings and the development of long-term business relationships in travel industry.
