2. The Magic Fountains At Montjuic

Built in 1929 and putting up a magical show of lights, music, and water acrobatics, nothing beats the Font Màgica at Montjuic when it comes to the romantic places in Barcelona to propose.

3. Parc Guell

Perched high on the Carmel Hill, one cannot help but think how pretty this public park of Parc Guell can look. Being one of the romantic places in Barcelona, Spain, Parc Guell or Park Guell was designed by none other than the great Antoni Gaudí.

Though most of his works remained incomplete, Park Guell continues to be one of his most colorful and vibrant mosaics that attracts a huge crowd throughout the year. An entrance fee is applicable to explore the Monumental Zone that includes the main entrance, terrace, and the mosaics whereas entry remains free to visit the Park.

How To Reach:

  • By bus, take the blue line of Bus Turístic and get down at Park Güell.
  • By metro, take the Green Line which is Line 3 and get down at Vallcarca stop. Park Guell is just 15 minutes away from there.

Tips:

  • Buying tickets well in advance is recommended.
  • You can enter the Monumental Zone up to 30 minutes post your time slot.

4. Montserrat

Much famed as the serrated mountain, the Montserrat is popular for its rugged rock formations wherein the historical Benedictine monastery is located. Offering the best panoramic views of the entire Catalonia and the Pyrenees, one can get to the vantage point of Montserrat by a cog wheel train.

On the whole, the Benedictine monastery serves as the pride of Montserrat which also houses the famous wooden statue of Catalonia’s patron saint La Moreneta, that dates back to the 12th century.

5. Mount Tibidabo

Standing tall at a height of about 512 meters, Mount Tibidabo is the highest mountain in the glorious mountain ranges of Serra de Collserola.

Though the main attraction of the Sagrat Cor church attracts numerous travelers throughout the year, the 100-year old amusement park of Parc d’Attractions is a total stunner too. 6. Parc de la Ciutadella

In the desert dominated by classic architecture, Parc de la Ciutadella is a lush green oasis that serves as an ideal place for the love birds to spend some quality time together.

7. Torre de Collserola

Barcelona is an architectural wonder and the communication hub of Torre de Collserola proves it right, once again. Designed by Sir Norman Foster, Torre de Collserola stands 560 meters above the sea level and serves as the tallest building in Barcelona.

Scaling new heights, the magnificence of this tower that is felt from the observation deck located on the 10th floor, makes it one of the most romantic places in Barcelona.
