Thailand is one of those destinations that has it all. So in the end, after discussing the location with a few cousins but most importantly, my wife – we decided to book our honeymoon package to Thailand.

Day 1: Love at first sight with Thailand!

After the grand pomp and show of our wedding, finally, the day of our honeymoon arrived. Being residents of Pune, we took a cab to Mumbai Airport and then boarded our flight to Bangkok where we had a connecting flight to Phuket.

Upon our arrival in Phuket, we were welcomed by a representative from the travel agent’s side who subsequently transferred us to our hotel – Deevana Patong Resort & Spa. This was a beautiful property and after checking into our room, we rested for a while before venturing out to explore the surroundings on our own. This was the time, we finally felt our honeymoon had begun and it to be honest, it felt wonderful spending quality time with my wife.

Places To Visit On A 6 Day Family Trip To Thailand

A day very well spent, we did the Phi Phi island tour today. In the morning post breakfast, we were picked up from our resort and taken on a boat to the Phi Phi Island. From here, we were transferred to a bigger boat to enjoy the island tour in a better manner and to visit the Long Beach.

Day 3: Next up, the Khai Island Tour (even better!)

Another day, another island tour, but this time it was an even better experience since we not only visited the beautiful Khai Island, but also did snorkeling here. Our island tour consisted Khai Nok, Khai Nai, & Khai Nui. The Khai island itself was very peaceful and beautiful and we felt great experiencing its charm and marine life.

The snorkeling experience was phenomenal and the underwater beauty that we saw here would be forever etched in our hearts. Later, we returned to our hotel in Phuket and slept off the tiredness.

Day 4: Krabi love

We checked out of our hotel today and bade goodbye to Phuket for we were going to an even more beautiful destination – Krabi! Our driver picked us up from the hotel and we arrived in Krabi late in the afternoon.

Our hotel in Krabi, the Centara Anda Devi Resort and Spa, was once again a good one and after checking in, as usual, we rested for a while before proceeding on to explore the nearby area on our own.

Krabi, on our first impression was absolutely gorgeous. With clean sandy beaches and scenery to die for, this place was heavenly.

Day 5: Not one, not two, but a Four Island Tour

In the morning today, we proceeded for the 4 island tour which was another extremely refreshing and romantic experience for us.

The tour took us Ko Poda, Ko Gai, Ko Tub, and the Nang Bay – all of which were exotic in their own way. Our lunch was arranged at one of these islands and overall, it was very rejuvenating.

After our tour had ended, we returned to our hotel in Krabi.

Day 6: A surreal dinner cruise in Bangkok

Today, after enjoying a delightful breakfast at the hotel, we checked out and proceeded for our flight to Bangkok.

Upon our arrival, we met the agent’s representative, who transferred us to our hotel – Amari Watergate. After checking in, we rested for a while and then in the evening, proceeded on for the Dinner Cruise.

The Dinner Cruise, like all experiences in Thailand, was one of a kind and we loved it. The river cruise passed by many historic landmarks of Bangkok and it was very romantic for both my wife and I to dine in such a surreal ambience. To top it all, the dinner spread was delicious too.

Day 7:The many wonders of Safari World & Marine Park

After a delicious breakfast today, we proceeded on for our tour of the Safari World with Marine Park. The Safari World was great and we loved the feel of an open air wildlife park where we could drive and see animals in a more natural manner.

Our lunch was arranged here only post which we went to the Marine Park where we saw a number of spectacular shows by many animals including Elephant, Bird, Orangutan. Other animals that we saw here included Tiger, Deer, Giraffe, and many more.

Post our tour, we returned to our hotel.

Day 8: Goodbye Thailand, you will forever remain in our hearts!

This was our last day and after checking out from our hotel in the morning, we kept our luggage and went out shopping.

Later, we were transferred to the airport for our flight back to India.

Our honeymoon in Thailand was more surreal and beautiful than what we had imagined. From beaches to islands to sightseeing and modern city fun – it was a complete package for us. Romantic to the core, this place gave us wonderful memories that we would cherish forever. Truly, an excellent beginning to a new chapter in life.

Our room in Bangkok was a twin bedroom one despite the fact that we were a honeymoon couple. We had to wait a few hours before they changed it.

Tips for travelers:

Vegetarians have limited options for food and it is recommended that you carry ready to eat stuff from the superstore for emergency purposes.
