Day 0: Breaking the ice with a warm welcome
We assembled at Vishwavidyalaya metro station and then left for Chail in a bus at 10pm.
All the anxiety we had for social awkwardness on our weekend trip to Chail went away pretty fast thanks to the trip coordinators. They introduced themselves and made sure the group mingled well, and soon enough strangers became friends.

Day 1: Roaming around the places to visit in Chail
The comfort of the bus journey was incredible. We stopped by at Solan at 7am to enjoy the stunning view of the hills, just after sunrise. Later on, we arrived at the United 21 hotel at 9 am. We checked into the hotel, had breakfast and settled into our rooms. The view from my hotel balcony was stunning. I was already loving the place with the views we were getting on a bright and sunny day. After resting we had lunch and quickly got ready for the sightseeing tour in Chail.
We began covering the places to visit in Chail with the magnificent Chail Palace. A building made in the British era that defined luxury and class. Next up, we took blessing from the almighty from the Kali ka tibba temple. We enjoyed playing with the snow over there, as the temple was located at an altitude and a lot the snowfall was fresh.
We returned to the hotel at 7 pm which was promptly followed with dinner and bonfire. A few interesting conversations around the bonfire meant, it was a warm and cozy end to our first day of our weekend trip to Chail.

Day 2: Horse riding in Kufri
The next day at 9 am, we checked out from the hotel and moved towards Kufri. It took us an hour and 30 mins by road to arrive in Kufri. The following few hours were my best moments of my weekend trip to Chail.
Kufri being located at a higher altitude meant there was plenty of snow and picturesque views of the entire valley. We arrived in Kufri at 11 am and soon after, we proceeded to try some horse riding. We rode to one of the most popular sightseeing places in Kufri called snow point.
At snow point, we ate maggi that tasted even more delicious with all the cold weather and hunger. I also managed to spot tube rides in the snow, and I couldn’t keep myself away from the thrill of gliding down the snow. We departed from Kufri at 3 pm and made a stoppage at Shimla at 5 pm. The coordinators gave us a few hours of exploring and things to do in Shimla. We finally got free from Shimla at 8 pm and departed for New Delhi.
Looking back at our weekend trip to Chail, I was very happy with the outcome. Except a few minor kinks like food, everything was nicely organized. A weekend filled with horse rides, snowmen, maggi, tube rides, and yaks. We spent some great time with each other and made new friends.
