Post joining the new firm, I was not able to spend time with my wife which is why I decided to take her on a romantic trip to Seychelles, especially to celebrate her birthday. Making her feel special was my priority and having been to Maldives previously, we had fallen in love with the concept of beach holidays. Hence, we decided to go on a romantic trip to Seychelles this time on a completely refreshing holiday!

Day 1: Hello Seychelles!
I had planned the trip in such a way that on the first day, we land in Seychelles and are able to celebrate my wife’s birthday in this paradisiacal island. We had boarded the flight from Lucknow, flew enroute Delhi and Mumbai to Mahe Island in Seychelles around 6 am. On our arrival, the agent’s representative greeted us a warm welcome and handed over the local sim card, emergency contact numbers, and some foreign currency. We were really impressed by their professionalism and later, they transferred us to the pre-booked Coral Strand Smart Choice Hotel.

It took us close to four hours to reach the hotel post which we checked-in, relaxed for a while, and treated ourselves to a delicious breakfast. Later in the day, we explored the hotel and its surroundings which was a beautiful and a lush property. Having accumulated enough energy post all the hectic travel, we got ready in the evening, and went out to explore a small local market which is held every Wednesday in Mahe Island.
It was very entertaining to enjoy all the live music performances, dance shows, followed by a romantic dinner at an Italian restaurant located right across the hotel. The owners were great hosts for the evening and they themselves cooked a heart-warming and a personalised meal of spaghetti pasta with wine for us. It was a great evening and an end to the first day of our romantic trip to Seychelles as we were really happy to have celebrated my wife’s birthday at such a hep and happening place.

Day 2: Island Hopping From Mahe To Praslin To La Digue!
Our second day in Seychelles was going to be the most happening one. We got ready early in the morning, and post breakfast, we left for the port for the island transfer. We took a ferry to the most amazing Praslin Island from Mahe and had to board a connecting ferry to La Digue Island.
We were really excited to explore La Digue Island and as we had heard, the island officials do not prefer automobiles on the island in order to keep it clean and green. As a result of which, we rented bicycles to tour the island on our own. It was a little easy for us to get around on our own as the one of the travel agent’s representative had visited Seychelles a week back and had given us a lot of useful tips.

Along with the bike, we also got hold of a map, and went across the island exploring the beaches, and the area where there were a lot of turtles. We also enjoyed snorkeling on our own and later, relished the best of Chinese food on the island.
As we watched the sun go down, we kissed the island a goodbye around 4 pm and left for Praslin Island, took the connecting ferry to Mahe Island. As usual our driver was waiting to receive us and transferred us back the hotel. In the night we again went to the beach near the hotel and relaxed for sometime in company of some wine before we called it a night!
Day 3: A Day To Ourselves!
On the morning of the third day in Seychelles, I hired an automatic i10 car as my wife wanted to explore the areas around the nearby waterfalls. So we went to explore the popular Secret Waterfall located right in the heart of Mahe Island.
From there, we went on to explore quite a few beaches along the coastline like that of Anse Royale, Anse Takamaka, and few other beaches that greeted us with thrilling high tides. Later we also explored a bit of the Eden Island which is an artificial island in Mahe. Later in the day, we went shopping at the local markets of La Domus for some souvenirs.

It was quite a therapy for us. Post shopping, we returned to the hotel by 6 pm, relaxed on the beach for while, and again in the night, hit the roads for a long drive. We also ended up landing in one of the famous clubs of La Faya Bar, which is a must visit on a Friday night in Seychelles. It was quite an eventful day and we retired to bed post returning to the hotel around 1 am.
Day 4: Sayonara Seychelles!
It was the last day in Seychelles for us and with loads of memories crafted in past three days, we bid adieu to this beautiful gem of an island. We proceeded with the checkout process, put our luggage in one of the rooms allotted to us, and relaxed on the property for the day as our flight was in the evening. Post lunch, we freshened up again, and our driver transferred us to the airport from where we set on our way back to India.
