My wife and I wanted to take a romantic trip to Kashmir since a long time. Having heard a lot about its beauty, I was so glad that our trip was finally happening and was even more happy that I would be relieving my wife from all the stress and daily chores of life. Her happiness means my happiness!

Upon our arrival, we checked into our hotel and then began our sightseeing in Srinagar. We visited some of the most beautiful places in Srinagar today and these included Shalimar Bagh, Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh, and Parimahal. The gardens of Srinagar were beautiful beyond imagination and what was even better was that our driver never tried to rush anywhere. We could admire the beauty of these places in peace which was truly amazing. Overall, right from the assistance from locals to the driver to the whole itinerary execution, everything was smooth as butter.

Day 2: Encountering snow in Sonmarg for the first time

We visited Sonmarg today and it was the first time that I saw snow. Needless to say, it was love at first sight for me and I would never ever forget how much fun my wife and I had while sledding snow here. Needless to say, everything in Sonmarg looked straight out of a picture book and we loved it.
Day 3: Sightseeing in Gulmarg and an another encounter with snow
In the morning today, we checked out of our hotel and left for Gulmarg. Here we thoroughly enjoyed the Gondola ride (what amazing views!) and also had another encounter with snow. We also visited the LOC area and overall sightseeing in Gulmarg was quite an awesome affair.
Overall, Gulmarg was so heavenly and picturesque that I cannot express its beauty in words. It was green, it was white, it was everything that calls for a delight!
Our stay, however, at the Apple Valley Resort wasn’t that great since we found the customer service to be bad. (only negative part of our romantic trip to Kashmir).
Day 4: A splendid visit and stay at Pahalgam

Moving on, after checking out from our hotel today, we proceeded towards Pahalgam specifically Baisaran which is also known as the Mini Switzerland of India. The view and ambience of this place were so paradisaical that it would forever remain in our hearts.
Our stay at the Tourist Palace Hotel in the night was also very good.
Day 5: Overnight stay at the Houseboat
We proceeded back to Srinagar today for the final day of our trip. But since we wanted to end our journey on a romantic note, I had opted for an overnight stay at the houseboat in Srinagar and it was an amazing.
Day 6: Till we meet again, Kashmir!
This was our last day in Kashmir and after our check out from the houseboat, we proceeded to the airport for our flight back to Delhi.
Final Thoughts
Looking back at our romantic trip to Kashmir, my wife and I felt it was one of the most refreshing trips ever! The pristine nature, kind people, sightseeing, and the hospitality that we witnessed here was simply amazing and in the end, our long wait to finally visit this heaven was totally worth it.
