Day 1: Exploring the Hulhumale city

We boarded our flight from Mumbai at night and reached Male by next morning. After we reached, we decided to explore the new preplanned city of Male, called Hulhumale. This island is located in the south of North Male Atoll and boasts of exquisite beaches, local restaurants and wonderful people.

There are lots of places to visit here. We went to the beach and the beautiful Hulhumale Mosque. We also visited some good restaurants and tried the local cuisine there. All in all, it was a day well spent.

Day 2: The Good Life!

As we had covered the entire Hulhumale city the previous day, it was time to explore our resort in Male, the Holiday Inn resort. It was a very beautiful and a spacious property. The beach villa style resorts, with great infinity pools, and outdoor shower spots give you an amazing stay experience. After having a good breakfast, we relaxed in the resort throughout the day.

Post relaxation, we did swimming and later went for the DJ night and let our hair down. It was such an amazing experience and I loved dancing with my husband. The snacks and cocktails served were quite nice.

Things To Do: Thai Massage at Kandooma Spa, Swimming at Infinity Pool, Eating Wood-fired Pizza and drinking coffee at Bokkura Coffee Club.

Day 3: Snorkeling & Zumba Fun

We started our day with snorkeling which turned out to be so much fun! Unfortunately, we could not do snorkeling in the previous days since we got late for our introductory class.

After snorkeling, we engaged in some fun activities organised by our hotel such as Aqua Zumba, Aqua aerobics, crab racing etc. The resort had organised a lot of in-house activities which added fun and glamour to our stay there.

Tips:

Do enjoy the in-house activities organised by the resort; they are a great way to enjoy with your beloved.
Don’t be late for snorkeling. Once the class starts, one won’t be allowed to participate in the snorkeling session. One needs to collect the snorkeling equipment on time.

Day 4 : Get Up. Chill. Admire The View. Repeat.

Day 5: Adios Maldives!

This was last day in Maldives. We checked out of our villa and proceeded towards the airport. We had some more time on us, so we kept our luggage at the airport and explored the old Male city. We visited the mosque, shops, and museums and it turned out to be a wonderful experience for us.

Overall, this trip to Maldives really bought me and my husband close to each other. It is truly special to spend time with someone you love immensely and Maldives offered us everything we wanted.
