Wildlife In Himachal Pradesh

Wildlife in Himachal Pradesh is not just limited to the many national parks and wildlife sanctuaries of the state. In fact, if you dare to wander deep enough into the forests that border the small villages here, you are pretty likely to come face to face with predators such as leopards, bears and sometimes, even tigers. There are 33 wildlife sanctuaries and 2 national parks in the state, which are home to more than 70 species of mammals, 460 species of birds and more than 4 species of reptiles among others.
