A beautiful hill station attracting eyes of thousands of people every year, Manali has been a favourite since a very long time.If you’re planning to visit the town, you should go through the following information that will assist you on how to reach Manali from Delhi by the different modes of transport available:-Delih To Manali By Air: The nearest airport to Manali is the Kullu-Manali Airport in Bhuntar at a distance of about 50 km. Take a flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to Bhuntar which takes around 1 hr 20 min on the flight journey. Air India provides with daily flights from Delhi to Bhuntar.You can then opt for a bus or a cab which will take around 2 hours for you to reach Manali from Bhuntar Airport. Delih To Manali By Train: The nearest rail head to Manali is Joginder Nagar Railway station about 163 km away. There is no direct train to Joginder Nagar from Delhi. To reach this station, you have to first take a train to Pathankot (8-10 hrs) and then opt for another train from Pathankot to Joginder Nagar (9-11 hrs). You have to then opt for a bus to reach Manali which will take 5 to 6 hours.Alternatively, you can take a train to Chandigarh from Delhi (3-5 hrs). From Chandigarh Railway Station, Manali is about 315 km for which you can book a cab or opt for a bus which should take around 8 to 9 hours.Delih To Manali By Road: The distance between Manali and Delhi is 536.3 km. You can opt to self drive or hire a cab. It takes about 11 to 12 hours on a road journey from Delhi to reach Manali. Also, there are a number of semi-sleeper buses that ply daily to Manali from Delhi (ISBT Kashmere Gate).
