How to Reach the Dragon’s Back

The Dragon’s Back is a popular place for hiking and it is easy to reach from almost all the prime locations in Hong Kong. The biggest reason why this place has regular mentions in the tourist’s guidebook is its easy accessibility from the city. You need to hike this ridge to enjoy mesmerizing views of Shek O, Tai Long Wan, Stanley, Tai Tam, and the South China Sea.

You may start hiking the Dragon’s Back Trail from To Tei Wan. For that, you need to take the MTR to Shau Kei Wan Station and go to Exit A3. Once you take the exit, from there you can take the Bus 9 to To Tei Wan. It will not take more than 30 minutes to reach and it is not expensive at all. It will cost you around 6.90HKD for a single trip, which is a reasonable amount. If you do not prefer taking a bus, then another option is to take a cab from the Shau Kei Wan MTR Station and the journey should be about 10 minutes long and cost 50HKD. If you are in the cemetery, then from there you take the route and follow the same direction you have just walked in and continually descends toward Big Wave bay or if you prefer a further 2km onwards to Shek O Beach.

If you follow the trail all the way to the main road, then you need to walk for about 45 minutes onto Shek O Beach but when you complete the trail properly, you hop on a bus for an expedition lunch. You can hike up and down Dragon’s Back within 90 minutes if you want. If you wish to admire Hong Kong’s landscape without the crowd then it is advisable to have a beginner friendly hike. The starting point is not very far away from the CBD and provides a great sanctuary if you wish to disconnect temporarily.Many people have this misconception that this hike would take at least half a day, but that is not true because you do not have to complete the entire Hong Kong trail which actually takes six hours.

And the very next day he corrected my ferry tickets and sent me the updated tickets. And even he told that we can contact him anytime if any issue is there throughout my journey. This is the support customers need, when making the bookings from travel agency. We had even contacted customer care and whats app group regarding the same issue. But we were told that they can fix this in official hours. When we did not know whether our issue will get resolved or not, as we were supposed to fly within 10-11 hours. We really appreciate Bijay for helping us.
