About Mysore Palace in Mysore

Located in the heart of the city, the majestic Mysore Palace, also known as the Ambavilas Palace, stands tall to take the hearts of its visitors right away. Built in the Indo-Saracenic style with blends of Hindu, Mughal, Rajput and Gothic styles, this three-storeyed stone structure surrounded by beautiful lush gardens, provides a structure like never witnessed before.

The history of Mysore Palace dates back to almost 600 years when it was built as the royal residence for the then ruling Wadiyar family of Mysore. The palace had been built and rebuilt several times between 1350 to 1950. The superstructure and the interior of Mysore Palace clearly depict the way how luxurious the royal family used to live their daily lives.

The Mysore Palace architecture consists of a three-storeyed stone structure built of fine grey granite with deep pink marble domes along with a number of arches. The main complex is 245 feet long and 156 ft wide. The main entrance gate and the arch hold the emblem around written in Sanskrit. The palace also has 2 Durbar halls and also assimilates a number of courtyards, gardens and beautiful buildings.

The Royal Palace of Mysore also hosts an alluring Light and Sound show daily except for Sunday and public holidays. The show is organized every day between 7:00 p.m to 7:30 p.m.

The trip was overall good. The arrangements done, were very good. I was pretty satisfied with the resort Palm Era which was booked for us. The only negative i can think of was, too many places covered in itenary. I had requested the agent to have couple of visits in a day but it exceeded to almost 4 places everyday. Though it only added to our experience but the scheduled was a bit hectic for a vacation.

Nicely planned trip by VFM travels and Travel Triangle. Coorg is a beautiful place and we stayed in a lovely Jungle camp backwater resort. Driver provided to us was also nice and helpful. Stay at Jungle camp backwater resort. It was a complete surprise.

This being my 3rd trip planned with Travel Triangle, I feel TT reduces so much of headache that goes into planning. The trip was completely hassle-free . The driver was very co-operative and nice. Once the trip starts, you absolutely don't have to worry about anything. Only one thing I would like TT to improve is to help reduce the to and fro communication between the requirements and the suggestions. It would be better if all the required details are asked in the first go itself.

We had an excellent trip to coorg and mysore. Travel triangle supported well with suggestions in location , payment process and arrangements. We were so excited after reaching mysore.Driver was very friendly and guided us through many interesting places. Had enough time to visit every place. Hotels were neat and clean. Good food was served at the hotel. Memorable trip. We enjoyed well.
