The most convenient method to reach from Maharashtra to Kashmir is to travel by flight. The states are separated by a distance of 2180 km. Therefore, traveling by flight is the best mode of transport to cover the distance. Sheikh Ul-Alam International Airport (SXR) and Jammu Airport (IXJ) are the main airports of Jammu and Kashmir. Many nonstop and connecting flights operate on this route on a daily basis from Mumbai. However, if you are willing to travel from Pune, note that only connecting flights are available. Traveling by train is another option to travel from Maharashtra to Kashmir. Note that a direct train is available for Jammu. This means of transport is apt for those who don’t mind the time taken and are on a lookout for a cheaper option. Note that there is no direct connectivity via buses. However, one can opt to travel by road taking several stops. Listed below is the in-depth analysis of how to reach Kashmir from Maharashtra.

Maharashtra To Kashmir By Flight: Traveling by flight is the most convenient option to cover the aerial distance of 1673 km (with respect to Mumbai and Srinagar). There are several airports in Maharashtra, however, direct flights are available only from Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) to Sheikh Ul-Alam International Airport (SXR) and Jammu Airport (IXJ). Connecting flights are available from Pune International Airport for both the cities. Air India, IndiGo, GoAir, Vistara, AirAsia, and SpiceJet are some of the prominent airlines that operate flights on Maharashtra to Kashmir route.

Maharashtra To Kashmir By Train: Jammu Tawi Railway Station (JAT) is the main railway station of Jammu and Kashmir. Note that there is no direct train from Maharashtra to Srinagar, however, direct connectivity is available for Jammu. Even though traveling by train is time-consuming to cover the distance of 2329 km, it is still worth a try for those who don’t mind traveling for a long time period. Traveling from Maharashtra to Kashmir by train usually takes a duration of 36 hours to cover the distance. Jammu Tawi Special (09021) is the most preferred train.

We had a disappointing experience during our trip to Kashmir in the first week of April. Though the agent helped us create an itinerary, they couldn't justify the price. However, the driver was well-mannered. We stayed for one night in Pahalgam, two nights in a hotel in Srinagar, and one night in a

houseboat in Srinagar. The hotel stays were good, except for the houseboat. The food at the hotel was good, but at the houseboat, it was not up to the mark and was not sufficient. Moreover, the cost of the hotel and houseboat stay was very high. If you're planning to visit Kashmir, it's advisable to research activities and prices in advance. Locals may try to overcharge, so it's best to be aware of prices beforehand. You can skip Pahalgam if you're planning to visit Gulmarg and book a gondola ride in advance online. There isn't much to see in Pahalgam, so it's better to stay in Srinagar and explore local places and try their authentic cuisine. Wherever you go from Srinagar, you'll find snow. Therefore, choose your places wisely, as you'll see the same thing everywhere. It's essential to be careful since hotels are expensive, and locals may try to indulge you in different activities at high prices which aren't worth it. Although Breezy Travels helped us plan the trip better, I find Kashmir overrated compared to Himachal and Uttarakhand.

i would not like to spoil the reputation of Emaar tours and travels. But would definitely like to give an insight of my tour highlights and hurdles. it was 5N/6D package. Our Srinagar and gulmarg stay was decent but there was a constant reminder from the hotel about pending payments by Emaar. but fo

r the stay in pahalgham we didn't have a confirmed booking as per the itenary due to some miscommunication between emaar and Hotel sales dept. we had to wait in the lobby with a toddler sleeping in my lap for 2 hrs. Miss Ifrah however tried her best to resolve the issue but it was really out of her hands. our tour driver Adil was very good and polite. but was constantly pre-occupied. Coming to travel triangle there is a lot more to improve . I think you should followup about the itenary and hotel insights more rather than just acting as payment gateway portal. Nikita Jaiswal our tour guide from TT was good but didn't have enough knowledge about the process. they must be trained properly before handling a client. overall experience was decent could have been much better.
