Travellers can take direct trains from Udaipur to Jaisalmer and it is a fairly comfortable way to travel. However, this journey by train takes up to 17 hours, with trains leaving Udaipur early in the morning. Taking the train is inconvenient for those looking to save time.

Udaipur To Jaisalmer By Road: Udaipur and Jaisalmer are connected by road and as such, there are buses, both state organized and private, making this journey frequently. Prices of the bus tickets can vary but they are available for as much as Rs. 600, thus making it a fairly cheap option. Driving to Jaisalmer from Udaipur is also an option, the journey taking about 8 and a half hours. This is possibly the most assured and fastest way to reach Jaisalmer from Udaipur.
