Boating At Gadisar Lake in Jaisalmer
The Gadisar Lake is one of the top most popular attractions in Jaisalmer. While a visit to the lake is enough to soothe your mind, boating here is one thing that will make your experience even more blissful. This man-made reservoir was built way back in the year 1367 by Maharawal Gadsi Singh, after whom the lake has been named. It is situated near the Tillon ki Gate, and Jaisalmer Fort, and is environed with a number of shrines and pavilions, which add to the charm of this beautiful lake. This spot has also been the shooting location for Bollywood movies such as Sarfarosh, and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
The lake stays open on all days of the week from 7 am to 7 pm. Also, boating in Gadisar Lake costs INR 100 for a two-seater pedal boat, INR 200 for a four-seater pedal boat, and INR 300 for a six-seater pedal boat.
