Opened in 1930 by the then Colombo governor, Sir Herbert Stanley, the Old Parliament Building is one of the ancient buildings and one of the best places to visit in Colombo. It earlier served as the main legislature for 53 years until the construction of the new building. Embrace the architecture of the building that bears an essence of the Neo-Baroque artefacts, a building style from Europe, while surfing through its ancient history.

Built by the Portuguese, later some of its structures were destroyed and rebuilt by the Dutch and lastly was conquered and further modified by the British, the Colombo fort is ancient historic heritage of Colombo.
