Everything was nice. The hotels, the cabs, the sightseeing and attractions. Only thing that I was not happy about was the last day at the houseboat. I understand that there are certain rules of the marine area but just staying at the steady houseboat all night long, without any TV and AC (which was only switched on at 9PM) was something I didn't enjoy and will not recommend to include in the itinerary. Undoubtedly, it was worth the experience while the boat was moving but when it came to a standstill, it was all boring. You can't step out because there is nowhere to go. You can't go on upper deck because the mosquitoes will eat you completely.
A suggestion for that could be to only have that houseboat experience while it is running and then after it is returned, drive back to Kochi and spend the last night of the tour there itself with a comfortable and sound sleep at the hotel.
Thekkady - especially the resort (The Crown Valley Resort) and the Kathakali and Kalaripayattu evening shows.
The route from Thekkady to Alleppey was mesmerizing.
Munnar is also good but I think it feels more awesome during the monsoon.
