The Best Time To Visit Bardia National Park
The park is open throughout the year but if you want to spot tigers then the best time to visit is from February to July. It is also the hot season and temperatures rise up to 42°C, so keep yourself hydrated.
How To Reach Bardia Park
By Air: You can fly to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu which is the only airport with international operations in the country.
By Road: Kathmandu to Bardia National Park takes around 12-15 hours and buses run daily from Kathmandu and Pokhara to Mahendranagar via Bardia.

1. Take the Bardia National Park Safari

2. Trek through the wilderness
Treks at Bardia range from half day treks to overnight excursions. One can hire a guide service for these treks and jungle walks. The best are the full day treks which lead to a higher chance of spotting wildlife. The overnight excursions do not let one stay inside the park and travelers need to rest at the buffer zones.

3. Go rafting and fishing
If you are looking for some adventure then you can go rafting in the Karnali river. The river flows through fantastic gorges, secluded beaches, and canyons. The Bardia National Park is a paradise for birdwatchers. The park has more than 400 species of birds which can be spotted during the months of September till April. Rafting trips are another way to spot birds along the river banks at Bardia. The endangered Bengal florican and Sarus crane are also found here.
