Paro International Airport is the major international airport in Paro, Bhutan. There is a good flight connectivity between India and Bhutan. Druk Air operates regular flights between the two countries. There are regular flights to Bhutan from various Indian cities such as Kolkata, Delhi, Bagdogra and Guwahati. One can easily catch a flight to Bhutan. It takes around 2 hours to reach Bhutan from New Delhi via air.

By Road
One can choose between the option of traveling by car and bus when visiting Bhutan. There are basically three land borders open to tourists from around the world. These are Phuentsholing, Samdrup Jongkhar and Gelephu. Phuentsholing is at a distance of 170 km from Bagdogra Airport. Whereas Samdrup Jongkhar is located at a distance of 150 km from Guwahati. It will take you just 3 hours to reach Bhutan via this route. One can also opt for a bus journey to Bhutan from Kolkata. It will take you around 18 hours to reach Phuentsholing.

By Rail
There are no direct train links between India and Bhutan. One needs to reach some defined stations. From there they can hire a taxi to reach their destination. The best options in India are in cities such as New Jalpaiguri Station, Hasimara, New Alipurduar and Siliguri. From these cities, one can take the option of road travel further. Direct taxis and buses are available from most of these cities.
