How To Reach Andaman<\/h2>\n

The best way to reach Andaman and Nicobar Island is by taking a flight from New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Vishakhapatnam, or Kolkata Airport to Port Blair. If you\u2019re planning a honeymoon, you can also try the waterways to reach the island, since it is a romantic journey. On our arrival at the Veer Savarkar Airport in Port Blair, our travel executive received and escorted us to the hotel we booked \u2013 TSG Grand. After checking in and a few hours of relaxing, we visited the historic national memorial – the cellular jail, which is also known as Kaalapaani. The Cellular Jail<\/a> is no doubt one of the best places to visit on a honeymoon in Andaman<\/strong>. Declared as a national memorial, it was constructed by Britishers in 1906, and has witnessed the most inhumane atrocities borne by the convicts, who were mostly freedom fighters.<\/p>\n

After spending few enriching hours at the Cellular Jail, we visited the Carbyn’s Cove Beach, which is only 8 km away from the city centre and is a prominent sightseeing place in Andaman<\/strong>. The pleasant blue water and lush green coconut palms on the beach made it a perfect hotspot for us to chill by the beach side.<\/p>\n

However, we ended our day with the popular sound and light show at the Cellular Jail, which gave us a vivid experience of its strong association with the freedom fighters, and put a perfect start to our honeymoon.<\/p>\n

Tip:<\/strong> Cellular Jail remains closed on Monday and the entry fee for two persons is INR 60. So, plan your visit accordingly.<\/p>\n
