The never-ending cycle of work &amp; fun has undoubtedly given me the best days of my life. Sadly though, despite the enactment of the <strong>Right To Education Act<\/strong> (2009), there are children who are missing out on the most vital part of their lives. And this is exactly what we wish to change.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>What is the Right To Education Act<\/h2>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-106870\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.traveltriangle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/right-to-education.jpg\" alt=\"Children pose during the RTE act campaign\" width=\"700\" height=\"377\" \/><\/div>\n<p><a class=\"imagesource-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.publickalyan.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/slider.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Image Source<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Right of Children to Free Compulsory Education Act<\/strong>, or <a class=\"external-link\" href=\"http:\/\/righttoeducation.in\/know-your-rte\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Right to Education (RTE) Act<\/a>, aims to make education a fundamental right for every child <strong>between the ages of 6 &amp; 14<\/strong>, irrespective of gender &amp; social category. The act, passed by the Indian parliament on 4th August 2009, came into effect nationwide (except the state of Jammu &amp; Kashmir) from 1st April 2010.<\/p>\n<h2>School Admission Drive 2018<\/h2>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-106868\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.traveltriangle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Bucket-List.jpg\" alt=\"Organisers and students rallying during the school admission drive\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" \/><\/div>\n<p><a class=\"imagesource-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bucket.list.official.india\/photos\/a.1728854134050450.1073741829.1665512097051321\/2055384508064076\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Image Source<\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the central idea to enroll every child in the age bracket of 6-14 years into the school and to spread awareness about RTE, the NGO <a class=\"external-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bucketlist.org.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Bucket List<\/a>\u00a0collaborated with TravelTriangle\u00a0for\u00a0the <strong>School Admission Drive 2018<\/strong>. Listed below are the detailed objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To enrol a minimum of 30 children (living on streets and in slum colonies) into the Sarvodaya Vidyalayas.<\/li>\n<li>To spread awareness about free and compulsory education under the RTE \u2014 on-ground and online awareness.<\/li>\n<li>Initiate documentation procedure of the children and impart relevant knowledge (Aadhaar, Bank A\/C, etc).<\/li>\n<li>Launch several rallies to give out information regarding RTE and prompt the audience to register for the same during the short window before admission process commences.<\/li>\n<li>To document the progression of the drive, reflecting all the obstacles and reliefs, to present a contrast.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Creating impact: <em>Imparting education to the underprivileged<\/em><\/h2>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-107073\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.traveltriangle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/school-admission-drive-bucket-list-2018.jpg\" alt=\"Organisers and students gather for a rally during the school admission drive\" width=\"700\" height=\"466\" \/><\/div>\n<p><a class=\"imagesource-link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/bucket.list.india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Image Source<\/a><\/p>\n<p>TravelTriangle has, thus far, been able to raise over <strong>Rs. 25,000<\/strong>\u00a0on behalf of Bucket List through the school admission drive, thus ensuring school admission for at least <strong>23 children<\/strong>. Going forward, the team hopes to be able to sponsor the education for even more children.<\/p>\n<h2>What is Bucket List?<\/h2>\n<h3>About the NGO<\/h3>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-89483\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.traveltriangle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/621.jpg\" alt=\"bucket list at traveltriangle\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" \/><\/div>\n<p>Bucket List is an NGO working for the underprivileged children through creative media \u2014 storytelling, sports, and arts \u2014 to enhance their physical &amp; social well being. Its programmes, such as <em>Tell a Tale, Genie in a Bucket,<\/em> and <em>Streets to Field<\/em>, aim to bring a change in their lives and help them make the most of their talents &amp; skills.<\/p>\n<h3>Our association with the NGO<\/h3>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-89526\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.traveltriangle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/732.jpg\" alt=\"group picture of bucketeers on children's day\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" \/><\/div>\n<p>TravelTriangle has been associated with the NGO \u2014 Bucket List \u2014 for the past 6 months. Together, the two have successfully conducted multiple events; including donation drive, <a class=\"intext-link\" href=\"https:\/\/traveltriangle.com\/blog\/childrens-day-celebration-with-bucket-list\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Children\u2019s Day celebration<\/a>, and Secret Santa for the underprivileged kids.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about their wishes during the Secret Santa event, these kids expressed their desire to get admission into school. While some of our employees stepped in right away to make these dreams come true, these wishes of the little kids all led to the genesis of the next event \u2014 the School Admission Drive.<\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s what the project lead of Bucket List has to say about the initiative<\/h3>\n<div><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-106896\" src=\"https:\/\/assets.traveltriangle.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Saif.jpg\" alt=\"A picture of Saif Ullah Khan who is the project lead of Bucket List\" width=\"700\" height=\"465\" \/><\/div>\n<p>\u201c<em>Under the <strong>School Admission Drive<\/strong>, we had the pledge to get all the children, eligible under <strong>RTE<\/strong>, admitted to a school. How many kids do we know who love going to school? Not so many. But once you witness all these children getting ready for school so enthusiastically every single day, it becomes a source of inspiration for us. It is here that we see education truly being valued. And it is with these children that you can be sure that education will be positively utilized.
