Located in Chachoengsao province, this temple sits on an island surrounded by the Bang Pakong River. Home to the country's largest statue of Ganesha, the Hindu deity, he lies in a reclining position, on a pedestal. The structure is 16 metres tall and 22 metres long and it shines in the bright rays of the sun. The setting is so beautiful to describe. That is not the only image of this Hindu God though, all around the pedestal are more images of Ganesha in various poses and each one more colourful than the other. There are also statues of other deities too like the four-faced Phra Phrom, which is the Thai version of Lord Brahma, and also another one of Lord Indra. It is just a fascinating place to visit. You can spend hours at this temple complex and still not get bored as there is so much to see and do here. There are also bout tours available if you are up for it.
