Constructed in the year 1995, along with the main Suntech City development, the Fountain of Wealth is a symbol of wealth and life. The Guinness book of world records recognized the Fountain of wealth as the largest fountain. Symbolizing the tolerance and tranquility of all races and religions in Singapore, the fountain consists of a Bronze ring. The ring is designed based on the Hindu Mandala meaning universe and representing the spirit and unity.<\/p>\n

The other features of this include the use of silicon bronze, a circular ring with the circumference of 66 meters, supported on four large slanted columns. The fountain spreads over an area of 1683.07 square meters with a height of 13. 8 meter. The DCG design and Meridian projects (from Melbourne Australia) designed, manufactured and installed the sand cast silicon bronze, including all the formwork and pattern making. 1683 is the base area of the fountain. The design plan of Suntech city was five tower blocks representing the fingers and the thumb of the left hand emerging from the ground. The fountain forms the palm of the hand,<\/p>\n

The night laser shows at the fountain are conducted through the medium sized water screen. Every so often large jet of water is turned on so that water shoots higher than the top of the ring. In the movie Krish, played by Hrithik Roshan, the Fountain is used as an observation point to locate the position of Nemesis’s helicopter so that can be chased by Krish. The AXN Asia, and Media Corp Channel 5, broadcasted the World famous magician, Cyril Takayama episode whereby he performed some tricks on the fountain, on the opening episode of “Cyril Simply magic”.<\/p>\n
