We chose to visit this winter wonderland in the month of April when the crowd was lesser and the chance to witness the best of Leh as higher. Unlike the months of peak winters, the weather in Leh in the month of April is still cold. Since we choose the best time to visit Leh<\/strong>, the days woke us up with a delightful moderate temperature coupled with a cold wind. We could easily witness a fair amount of snow and clear sky. The day temperature must have been around 10 to 15 degrees, whereas the nights being a bit harsh were always close to zero. Also, at high altitude tourist spots like Pangong lake<\/strong> and Tso Mo RiRi lake, the weather remains a bit cold even in April.<\/p>\n

Nestled between scintillating mountains of the cold desert, there is a vantage point at about 35 km from Leh near the village of Nimmu, where we witnessed the picturesque Sangam of these opulent rivers. Seeing two rivers meeting on a point made us feel that nature is meditating in its own way. We also dabbled in the sanctity of Gurdwara which was taken care of by soldiers. Just by entering the place, we could feel the holy vibe getting into our veins.<\/p>\n

Our day 3 was dedicated to so many adventures, out of which was the experience at Khardungla Pass. We crossed Khardung La while driving from Nubra valley<\/strong> to Leh. Khardungla Pass which is also known as “mighty” Khardungla offered us an opportunity to experience the thrill and fun. Located at around a distance of 40 km from the City of Leh, the route to khardung La pass has solid asphalted road till south pullu check post. Also, the rest half road is of gravel and dirt. One thing which greatly intrigued us was that the climate there changed very quickly and along with it the beauty of the place also reached its height.<\/p>\n

4. Nubra Valley: A unique fusion of sand and water<\/h3>\n

Known for its uniqueness, Nubra valley<\/strong> has a high altitude desert, among the Himalayas. While passing through Khardungla pass and reaching Nubra valley<\/strong>, we had a great adventurous time. Be it the breathtaking scenery, the lovely weather or the bumpy roads, everything on the way as well as in the valley was utterly fascinating. Honestly, we witnessed nature at its best. In just 2 hours, we were at the top of the world.<\/p>\n

Pangong lake<\/strong> which is a traveler’s paradise was our last stop. A mix of long straight roads and twisty turns gave us a majestic view of the mountains. We witnessed the view of the lake even miles before the destination is reached. And the mesmerizing shades of blue were actually a sight to behold. The ride to Pangong lake<\/strong> from Nubra valley<\/strong> was even more breath-taking. It\u2019s a must visit place when you are in Ladakh and we are sure that this clean water cannot be found easily anywhere across Indian. All in all, it was such an out of the world experience and our Delhi to Leh trip<\/strong> turned out to be a fantastic adventurous ride.<\/p>\n

Momos, Thukpa, Skieu, Thenktuk, Paba, and Tapu are some of the dishes one must try on a trip to Leh We also gave a try to Tibetan cuisine and needless to say, it was of a next level.
