Angkor Wats and Cambodia have been my absolute favorite destinations and I have been wanting to see and explore these two places for a very long time. While planning for a trip we finally decided to tick this place off our list. Moreover, VISA laws are not at all tough. We got in touch with the TravelTriangle team who took care of all our things. Weather In Cambodia In April<\/h2>\n

Our 8 days in Cambodia April were absolutely fun. The weather was hot and humid but the evenings were absolutely cool and nice. We enjoyed our time here, especially during the evening time. We also went to Sihanoukville beach where the weather was absolutely perfect.<\/p>\n

Phnom Penh was our first destination. We reached this place and were already ready to experience and explore this place to bits. We explore quite a many popular places here during our vacation like the National Museum, Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the very famous central market where we shopped and saw some of the most interesting shops in the area.<\/p>\n

While in Sihanoukville, we made the most of the beautiful beaches that are available here. We spent most of our time exploring various places and spending time on the beach. The second here was all about island hopping as we visited three very famous islands called Koh Rong Saloem, Koh Reusey and more. These islands are perfect to try various water sports like snorkeling and swimming. We enjoyed a boat tour.<\/p>\n

While in Siem Reap we did the most obvious and explored all that this magnificent city has to offer. We visited Meanchey which is a mangrove of a hundred-year-old species of freshwater fishes and birds. This is a perfect place to actually experience the tradition and cultures of the locals. We also a boat ride on the Great Tonle Sap Lake. We also had a chance to witness the amazing floating villages.<\/p>\n

We were very excited to visit and explore the Angkor Wat temples. It has been our list since forever. We see the very famous temple here whose beauty cannot be described in words. This is the largest and the best-preserved historic architecture and God, it is a treat to the eyes. Along with this, the earlier places that we ticked off from our list were the terrace of the elephants, terrace of the leper kings, Bayon Temple, Ta Prohm Temple and many more.<\/p>\n

Our Hotels In Cambodia<\/h2>\n

1. Sea Breeze Resort \u2013 Sihanoukville<\/h3>\n

This particular hotel was located right next to the beach which made it our favorite. We enjoyed all our stay here as the rooms were amazing and very spacious.<\/p>\n

2. Silk D’Angkor Boutique Hotel \u2013 Siem Reap<\/h3>\n

This hotel was located right opposite to the Museum in Seam Reap. Staying here was again a great experience as we really loved our room here and the amazing service provided by the hotel.<\/p>\n

3. Salita Hotel \u2013 Phnom Penh<\/h3>\n

Salita Hotel was an ok property with basic amenities. The rooms were also very basic and equipped with the basic facilities.<\/p>\n

How To Reach Cambodia<\/h2>\n

Since we were traveling on a budget, we wanted to a flight that does not burn a hole in our pockets. We had a flight from New Delhi to Bangkok and then from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. No direct flights were available at cheaper rates.<\/p>\n

Our Personal Expenses In Cambodia<\/h2>\n

We made use of all the meals that were added to our itinerary and hardly had any meals outside. But it is not that expensive too. The trip fit in rightly perfectly into our budget as we wanted. We saw all the popular places. Per day approximately INR 2100 is more than enough for a day to eat out which includes all three meals.<\/p>\n

Shopping In Cambodia<\/h2>\n

Cambodia is a good place to shop especially for souvenirs. People should buy from local vendors and visit the night markets. A must buy is a replica of Angkor Wats which we also bought.<\/p>\n

Food In Cambodia<\/h2>\n

The food scenes are amazing here. We really enjoyed eating out at various occasions. For all the vegetarians who are planning to go to please make sure that while you order food you tell them to not add eggs into your meals because they consider eggs as vegetarian. For all the Indian food fans, there are multiple Indian restaurants in both Siem Reap and Phnom Penh who serve delicious food. Food for a couple here would cost around INR 1800.<\/p>\n
