Temperature at Nathula Pass was minus 5 degrees centigrade. Here we had to use all of the woollens that we had carried along. The Oxygen level in the air was so low that a lady from another group, fell unconscious had to be rushed to the military hospital immediately.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Banjhakri Falls were the best. But since the roads were closed due to landslides, we had to change our destination to PELLING via Namchi. The pilgrimage centre at Namchi was a great place to visit, with replicas of major Hindu Temples like Somnath, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Rameshwaram and many others. The next place called Buddha Park was yet another great place to visit. By evening, we reached Pelling where we halted at Jain Hotel.<\/p>\n<h3>5. Needs to be recommended to all who visit Sikkim. By evening, we reached Kalimpong, where we checked in at Hotel Summit Barsana, perhaps the best Hotel of our entire tour.<\/p>\n<h2>Where To Stay In Sikkim<\/h2>\n<p>Our 2 night stay at Hotel Sinclairs-Darjeeling was great. As far as the rooms were concerned, the places were very hygienic, and the food was deliciuos. The staff was concerned about the guests and the service was prompt. Except for its approach, which was a torture for us senior citizens, as it required to climb a very very steep road part of about 200 m.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0<a class=\"mustread-link\" href=\"https:\/\/traveltriangle.com\/blog\/lakes-in-sikkim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">7 Lakes In Sikkim Which Are No Less Than A Magical Dream Of A Traveler In 2022!<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>What To Pack For Sikkim<\/h2>\n<p>Woollens may be required all round the year, however we used woollens only on a couple of days, when we visited Nathula Pass and Pelling because we visited the region during Rainy season.<\/p>\n<h2>Sikkim Travel Tip For Travelers<\/h2>\n<p>Though we enjoyed our trip to the fullest, still we would advise others to avoid the rainy season for visiting here, as there were too many landslides on major highways, so much so that we had to cancel our trip to Yun-Thang because the road was declared closed by Government advisory.<\/p>\n<h2>Food In Sikkim<\/h2>\n<p>Being a Sterling resorts member, we had booked Hotel Sterling at Gangtok for next 5 nights, which was again a very neat, clean and conveniently located property. Very reasonably priced Pure vegetarian as well Jain food was available. The place was also very hygienic and tasty was very easily available everywhere.<\/p>\n<h2>Shopping In Sikkim<\/h2>\n<p>MG road market of Gangtok was a great place to enjoy shopping and a very nice place to relax, sitting on roadside benches.<\/p>\n<h2>How To Reach Sikkim<\/h2>\n<p>We took an early flight from Nagpur to Kolkata and took another flight from Kolkata to Bagdogra and we reached the destination by noon.
