An initiative by the Kashi Vishwanath Temple administration, and backed by PM Narendra Modi, this project is constructed in an area of approximately 5 lakh sq ft and will bring a vast change in the tourism sector of the city. Developed at Man Mahal, Virtual Experiential Museum (VEM) will give travelers a cultural and spiritual tour of the city.<\/em><\/p>\n

Set up with the help of the Department of History of Arts, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), and the National Museum of Archives, Kashi virtual tour museum <\/strong>will hold information regarding all the temples found during this process and provide high-resolution pictures of each temple with 3-D effect. Travelers will find all information related to these temples such as which ruler built them, how old are the structures, and which style of architecture was used for its construction. Moreover, travelers will also get to enjoy the scenic views of the Ganga river along with the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.<\/em><\/p>\n

This Kashi virtual tour museum will be available in Kashi Vishwanath Temple and the virtual tour will recreate every temple\u2019s actual physical locations on the premises of the corridors. These 60 ancient temples are found among the buildings of Kashi Vishwanath Corridor and will also undergo renovation to preserve the alluring architecture and preserve their historical importance. Prof Pradosh Mishra, head of the department of history of Arts, BHU, said, \u201cThe project intends to bring out the temples unearthed from the complex and promote research. The web repository will help to reconstruct the history of the site as well as safeguard the cultural heritage of Varanasi.\u201d<\/p>\n
