The results of the Government of India’s cleanliness survey have been published where Indore secured the first place for the fourth time. The result was published on Thursday where the second place was secured by Surat in Gujarat. The third place was given to Maharastra’s Navi Mumbai. According to the annual report of cleanliness survey of the country, Karnataka’s Mysore bags the cleanest city award in the 3 to 10 lakhs category of the population. India\u2019s Cleanest Cantonment Board Honor was given to the Punjab Jalandhar cantonment while the place for Best Ganga Town has been secured by Varanasi.<\/em><\/p>\n

There are many categories and divisions in this list. Karad in Maharashtra has secured the first place in less than 1 lakh category. Here Saswad and Lonavala have secured second and third place. New Delhi Municipal Corporation has bestowed the Cleanest Capital City Award to New Delhi, The Capital City of India. Chhattisgarh has taken Best Performing States award in overall performance in cleanliness with 100 urban categories of local bodies.<\/p>\n

There is a category for small cities in this report. Cleanest Small City award is voted to Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh for the first time. The city consists of 1 lakh to 3 lakh population. There is also an award for the fastest mover small city and this time also, it goes to Burhanpur spotted in Madhya Pradesh.
