On its walls, various substances and materials can be found. Using these elements, experts have estimated that the cave is about 7,000 years old. This implies that it is possible that people had once occupied that cave around about 7,000 years ago. The people of the area worship in a site that they refer to as the Sita Rasoi. According to historian Dr Dinesh Ojha, after the Ghadar, when a branch of the Yamuna River flowed across the East Indian Railway, the contractors associated with it stumbled upon this place while searching for bricks. They discovered signs of an ancient civilization here while extracting bricks. The remains of an ancient city were visible, stretching from the north where the Sujavan Dev temple stood, to about 1.5 miles in the south. The temple must have been part of the city at one point, with its location in the middle of the Yamuna River. However, over time, the river’s flow eroded the land between the temple and the settlement, isolating the temple and transforming it into an island in the middle of the river.<\/p>\n

Follow this road for another 5 kilometres and you’ll see the temple. The place is pretty easy to find using Google Maps. However, the access roads aren’t in the best condition. There are two ways to get there: the first is through Jasra Bazar and the second is to take a right turn at Ghurpur.
