This building has five stories and 72 pillars made from limestone and sandstone with various portrayals of gods and goddesses. The temple sits on a hill, and to reach the temple, one has to climb more than 50 stairs, which makes the visit to the temple more like a pilgrimage.<\/p>\n

One can hardly fail to notice the towering roof of the temple measuring 43 meters and a flag measuring 52 yards in length. The flag’s cloth is replaced about four times a day and is considered sacred because Krishna resides there. The temple has two main doors: the Swarga Dwara (meaning the \u2018Gateway to Heaven\u2019) and the Moksha Dwara (meaning \u2018the Door to Salvation\u2019). The entrance of the Swarga Dwara faces the Gomti River, which has a construction of 56 steps down to the river, adding to its beauty and charm.<\/p>\n
