\nBy 1835, all Augustinians in Goa had been compelled to depart. The St. Augustine Church eventually fell into disrepair. In 1842, the church’s massive vault collapsed. Almost a century later, in 1931, the fa\u00e7ade of the Church of St. Augustine collapsed. The towers fell in 1938. The Church of St. Augustine may not appear very significant, yet historical documents reveal that it was the most fantastic church complex at the time.
