The Ba Thien Hau Temple was built in memory of Thien Hau Thanh Mau, a brilliant person who experienced spiritual rebirth through the historical facts found in books. She was also famous for her future predictions, spiritual observations, and support of the local communities during their times of need. One day, she realised that her father’s and her brother’s lives were at risk at the sea. While she was sitting with her mother to help her in weaving, her energy compelled her to help her family. Unfortunately, she could save only her brothers and her father was taken ashore by the agile waves. In the 17th century, the Thien Hau Temple was established for the followers of Thien Hau Thanh Mau to worship her. The Temple represents the \u201cseal\u201d style, a form of Chinese architecture. This amalgamation of four connected houses creates a ground representing the term \u201cmouth\u201d or \u201cnation\u201d in the Chinese language. In the middle are three lines of houses in the centre: the front hall, mid-hall and back hall.
