While living with his grandmother, he always listened to stories about how important it is to conserve history, culture and traditions through material objects. After he graduated from the Goa College of Art, he was saddened to learn that the old traditions and objects were going extinct in his hometown. Then, he left Goa after he got a scholarship at the Lucknow College of Arts and Crafts.<\/p>\n

Later, he learned how to restore and conserve at the INTACH Centre. After returning to Goa in 1991, he worked at the Museum of Christian Art but very soon quit his job and started collecting objects to continue his passion.
