\nThe legend says that Janapav Hills in Indore is the birthplace of Lord Parshuram, the reincarnation of Lord Vishnu. At the top of the hill is the ashram of Jamadagni, who was the father of Lord Parshuram. One can reach it by moderate trekking. This Ashram was constructed in honour of Sage Jamadagni, one of the revered Saptarishi (seven great sages). He is believed to have performed severe meditation and penance in this place.
