About Beaches Guide in Vietnam
The beaches of Vietnam have played important roles in the country’s history, be it of colonialism or of the numerous wars that have been fought on the land. However, with crystal clear water, long stretches of sandy beaches and tropical greens around, they are hidden gems of the country’s tourism.
Here are the best Vietnam beaches to visit and explore:
1. Nha Trang Beach, Nha Trang
Nha Trang Beach or the city beach of Nha Trang is inarguably one of the best beaches in Vietnam. With a perfectly balanced combination of natural beauty and city vibes, Nha Trang Vietnam Beach is a wholesome destination for all sorts of travelers. Those who love adventure, for them there is a plethora of water sports options, including the country’s first PADI-certified dive center Rainbow Divers. Snorkeling, wakeboarding, kite surfing are also famous here. For the more laid-back travelers, there are many spa resorts, diners, and sunbeds around for a relaxing beach session. The beach is surrounded with many parks, creative sculptures and rows of prune trees as well, adding to the aesthetics.
2. Danang Beach, Da Nang
Yet another beach with the city name attached, Danang Beach is not only about beauty and entertainment, but it also has a history. This was a hotspot for conflicts between the opponents during the Vietnam War. After the war stopped and violence subsided, this beach became a prime tourist destination with pristine blue waters, lined up palms, the Marble Mountain in the middle and lots of colorful corals to explore in a dip of snorkeling. Now it is one of the top beaches in Vietnam. No one should miss the sunset from this beach if they are in Da Nang area for the day.
3. Long Beach, Phu Quoc Islands
Phu Quoc is the largest island in the country and also has some of the best beach resorts in Vietnam. Long Beach is the most happening one, frequented by the water-sports loving tourists during the day and party-loving people by night. The palm-fringed coastline is a paradise for everyone in short. One can find swimmers, sunbathers, photographers, beach hikers, divers, snorkelers and many others enjoying their kayaking, jet skiing, water biking or paddle-boarding sessions in the cool blue waters. It is one of the top places to visit in Vietnam beaches.
4. Ho Coc Beach, Ho Coc
The beach of Ho Coc is only 3 miles long, but it is by far the most beautiful beach in Vietnam. Because of its isolated existence, Ho Coc beach is yet to get trampled on by commercialization and has held on to its pristine self. Calm and tranquillity are the dominant features here, along with the golden sand, large boulders, and coracles with sand dunes on the beach. The sunsets here are breathtakingly beautiful to behold. For anyone looking forward to getting away from the hustle and bustle of the more popular beaches, Ho Coc is the place to be.
5. Star Beach, Phu Quoc Islands
Star Beach is not as popular as its more happening counterpart, Long Beach, but it is still one of the best beaches to visit in Vietnam for its simple and pretty environment. The water sports or party scenes are not as extensive here. Star Beach is mostly known for its natural beauty, complete with turquoise blue in the water, warm white sand in the coast and lines of palms beyond it. Star beach has its share of restaurants and beachfront cafes too. At night, planktons light up the beach with their luminosity, making it look as starry as the sky above – probably from where it got its name.
