The best time to visit Jammu is during autumn and winter seasons between the months of September and April when the temperature is pleasant along with chances of snowfall. This time period is considered to be the peak season for travelers. Jammu is a popular pilgrimage spot for people from all over the country, as well as a place of immense natural beauty thereby ensuring that even if people come for a religious trip they also get to enjoy some time in the lap of nature, while getting away from the world. For those wondering what the weather in Jammu is like, during different times of the year, read on and find out exactly when would be the right time for your visit, based on your interests. The climate of Jammu is mostly pleasant, thanks to being close to the Himalayas. The duration between the autumn months is when the weather is at its most pleasant, with a slight nip in the air. On the other hand, Jammu weather in December also gives you a chance to experience snowfall as well.

March to May (39° C to 19° C): This is the official summer season in Jammu, which also incorporates into it the spring season with blooming flowers and lush valleys all around. However, as the season progresses, it becomes increasingly hot, ensuring that a day spent out in the sun, whether sightseeing or shopping, is not a good idea. Due to the heat and humidity, it is not a great time to visit Jammu. In fact, Jammu weather in May is probably the hottest, with average temperatures reaching 38° C.

June to September (32° C to 23° C): This is the monsoon season in Jammu when it experiences quite a lot of rainfall. And although the weather does become a little cooler after a rain shower, the humidity it brings with it is not at all conducive to enjoying a day of sightseeing. Also, the incessant rains sometimes also play spoilsport when you are planning a day out. However, this is a good time to get a few bargains in terms of packages and accommodation options. The average rainfall in Jammu on an annual basis is around 1238 mm.

October to February (26° C to 5° C): This is the winter season in Jammu when the weather is cool enough to spend most of the day outside enjoying pilgrimage, sightseeing or nature walks. November is said to be the best month to visit Jammu, since the weather is neither too hot nor too cold, and from a few peaks you can see snow on plenty of hilltops.

Summer Season in Jammu

The summer season in Jammu lasts from March to May, and it gets pretty hot here with average temperatures reaching 45° C at times. Jammu weather in April is the last pleasant weather you will get till September. While the onset of summers is pretty pleasant with flowering plants blazing in riotous colors and the melting snow creating small streams, it is the peak of summers that are unbearable. The heat and humidity ensures that sightseeing or even pilgrimage becomes a problem. However, pilgrims and tourists do visit Jammu during this time, be it for Amarnath Yatra, in which Jammu is a major rest stop.

Monsoon Season in Jammu

Monsoon in Jammu lasts from June to September, with plenty of rains making it difficult to enjoy a day of sightseeing. Although the weather is pleasant during the rains, or right after it, but the humidity makes it difficult to even enjoy a trek. In addition, there are also chances of landslides or similar roadblocks that might leave tourists stranded.

Winter Season in Jammu

The winter season in Jammu is from October to February, which is when the weather here is salubrious enough to attract tourists and pilgrims from all over the country. The average high Jammu temperature remains around 21 °C, whereas the average low can reach even 5 °C. With little pockets of snow visible on the ranges far away, Jammu becomes a veritable paradise at this time. It is truly the best time to visit Jammu. This is also when the adventure sports season starts in Jammu, with sledding, hiking and trekking going on in full swing.

Trip was executed as per planned. Hotel selection as perfect and Khushboo made everything easy for us, I won't tell this as a costly trip and she made it as luxury trip at low cost. We had language issues, but Khushboo was there to translate during shopping as well. I highly recommend Adorable Tours and Travels to anyone looking for a stress-free and memorable travel experience.     Booked Kashmir trip through travel triangle. Emaar was the travel agency that arranged our trip. Everything went well finally so nothing to complain. Zainab was the trip agent assigned to us. She was very helpful and accommodating. She was connected with us through-out the trip to check how it
    is going for us. There were some issues with hotel booking initially but that was sorted. Hotels that were initially selected and quoted for weren't available after a day. Luckily, alternate hotels offered turned out to be good except in Pahalgam. During peak tourist season, it's difficult to trust their words on hotels availability. Need to be a little careful before making advance payment. It was a good experience overall. I would recommend Emaar to anyone planning trip to Kashmir.

Additionally, I noticed that some of the local services and experiences arranged through your agency were priced at a premium, comparable to rates charged to foreign visitors. It would be advantageous for your agency to establish partnerships with local providers to ensure fair and reasonable pricing for travelers, thus enhancing the value proposition of your packages.     I booked an 8 days, 7 nights package of Kashmir with hermosa travels through travel triangle. From the beginning Hermosa representative was very proactive and courteous in her support. Janat from hermosa quickly created the plan and was in constant touch to tweak and improve the itinerary according
    to the needs of me and my family that includes small kids. She give me over 7-8 different options, multiple hotel choices and she was very helpful in ensuring our needs were met while also suggesting her own improvements based on her local experience. The booking, quotes etc was very smooth. Janat reminded us on time to book the Gulmarg gondola's which are limited. Farah also from Hermosa then ensured our travel was smooth and everything was taken care of. During our trip, we rarely had to call Hermosa for anything as everything was arranged and planned really well. The driver (Iqbal) was amazing and flexible to our needs. He gave good suggestions and ensured we did not fall into the trap of guides or other tourist frenzies in each location. Overall the complete experience with Hermosa was amazing starting with booking, hotels, cab to the arrangements at the hotels as well.
