How to Reach for Surfing in Maldives

Maldives has an array of breaks that suit all, from intermediate to advanced surfers. The swell is quite consistent here and one gets to surf really well. The best way to reach the surf destinations is a boat or a seaplane ride. Maldives gets travelers the feeling of discovery while being on a boat trip and looking for the perfect waves where there is no crowd. The feeling is definitely awesome, but what leaves many people thinking is how to reach surfing in Maldives. Northern Atolls are great, located in the north of capital city Male and is a great place to do activities like surfing, snorkeling and diving. To reach here, one has to have options like:

Airport Transfers by Seaplane

To reach on island resort on Haa Alif atoll, one takes one and a half hours from Hulhule International Airport. Airport transfers are also available to the resorts that take forty-five minutes of the seaplane ride to the airport at Hanimaadhoo Island followed by the speed boat transfer of half an hour in approximation.

Our experience with travel triangle contact Naushad was very bad to say the least. Once the initial payment was complete, he was totally non responsive and unbelievably rude. Every single message on WhatsApp needed multiple followups for response. Very rarely call was picked up and answered on the first attempt. He was not only rude to me but to all the fellow ladies who were travelling with me. He even went to the extent of rudely asking if it was the first time we were travelling abroad. I am an IT professional travelling abroad to UK, US etc multiple times for work. I have travelled to places like Italy and Thailand through travel agents for vacation. I have never ever had such a bad experience. The worst experience was the itinerary said all the entry tickets were covered only to realise that we had to pay for every single place in srilanka. When asked we were told it was a typo and had to be considered under exclusion. But once we reached srilanka, our guide Sameer changed the whole perspective for us. He was not only very respectful, but also patient throughout our 6 day trip. He showed us all the important places and took photos. Research, take your time, read reviews and decide. Do not worry if the chosen resort has last room as claimed by agent, you will have many other option even 7 days before and you might get room in same as well. Choose natural islands over man made ones. We chose resort which was built over deserted island and was very hot. Get into water only if you are sure about the depth and you are swimmer. Compare quotes with other travel agents and chose. Agents don't have much to do while booking for Maldives, they can only help you do the booking. Apart from that maldives experience is world famous. We also had good experience.
