Travel To Thailand

Read about the best & quickest routes to save time & money, as suggested by our travelers

By Air

Traveling to Thailand from India by air is the best and the easiest option. The most frequented airports in Thailand are the Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Don Mueang International Airport, which also happens to be the oldest operating airport in Asia. Phuket and Chiang Mai International Airports can also be reached, but usually not directly. It takes nearly 4 hours to travel from Delhi to Thailand by air. Mumbai to Thailand flights are frequent and the most affordable. The average nonstop flight time is around 3 hours. Flights of both mainstream and low-cost carriers ferry more than once too and from the Thai capital. To avail the cheapest flights, one needs to keep an eye out at the off-season charts. Since most of South Asia gets heavy rain during the early monsoon, the rates of flight tickets are low. The various online portals also offer sales and discounts throughout the year which you could be eligible for.

By Road

Thailand is connected to India via the India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway that passes through Myanmar for the most part. The distance of travel is approximately 3200 km and takes a day and a half to complete. The road starts from Moreh in Manipur, India and passes through Myanmar connecting with Mae Sot in Thailand. This is the easiest way to go from India to Thailand by road. However, the trip is best made during the dry months of stable weather and should be avoided during the monsoon. November to February is the ideal time to make the plan a trip from Delhi to Thailand by road. It can be made on any vehicle, but powerful six-wheeler SUVs are preferred. The tourists have to ensure that the driver has an International Driving Permit along with a valid Driver’s license and all the papers of the vehicle. You will need to show these papers at the various checkpoints since you are will be crossing two international borders and go through three countries. Since the drive is long, it would be wise to pack food and drinks as well as medicines, if the tropical climate does not suit you well.

Unless one is a big fan of prolonged road trips, taking a flight to Bangkok is the most sensible way to reach Thailand from India in all seasons.

Yogesh's 7 days trip to Thailand

Hi team, I really enjoyed the trip. The 2 things i didn't liked is prior information of day's plan like what will be part of the itinerary. on 4 islands tour in Krabi, after reaching the island tour guide informed us that we can do the snorkling. The plan need to be known in advance to wear the ne
cessary cloths. 2nd, sometimes pickup times are very early in the morning - even we don't get good time to have a breakfast in hotel. Min pickup time should be post 8:30 AM. We have asked to get ready for pickup by 7 am. How is it possible to get ready by 7 with breakfast. We come for leisure and this early pickups are not good experience.

All the planning for the trip and travel everything went well and good. Places and the travel agency took good care and communicated properly. Only think that screwed up in while hotel booking. My package rate rent higher from 47500 to 54000 approx, just because the hotel went under maintenance, The
booking could have been shifted to other hotel immediately but the Travel agency took their sweet time and due to that the hotel rate went higher as it was peak time already, this happened 5-6 days before the trip. Which costed me 4.9k extra. But the trip went very well and peacefully, But for suggestion please avoid the above issue and follow up with the hotels and keep a backup.

Shobhit's 8 days trip to Thailand

The trip was absolutely wonderful, with every detail thoughtfully handled. My trip planner, Nikita ji, worked closely with us to design the perfect itinerary. She recommended activities that allowed us to make the most of our time while ensuring we visited all the key attractions and had enough rest
for the next day's activities. Tarun ji coordinated all the arrangements flawlessly. The cabs provided for local transport were excellent, and the drivers were always punctual, arriving at the hotel reception exactly as scheduled. A special mention goes to our Bangkok and Pattaya coordinator, Sunny ji. He not only managed our trips to Pattaya and Bangkok flawlessly but also helped us make the most of our extra time by suggesting additional places to visit. During our Pattaya visit, we were unaware of the Fire Festival, but Sunny ji not only recommended we attend but also provided clear instructions on how to get there. Honestly, the Fire Festival was a highlight of our trip and truly "Paisa Wasool." He treated us like a friend helping us explore his city and was always available on call or WhatsApp to address any questions we had. 1. Fire Festival suggested by Sunny Ji. 2. Our ride from Krabi airport to Hotel. Beautiful van.
