Situated at the base of Chamundi Hills, Mysore is the known as the cultural capital of Karnataka. The pleasant climate, rich biodiversity and the scenic views leave the tourists mesmerized. There are a number of ways through which one can travel from Chennai to Mysore. Travelling by air is not recommended because of absence of direct flights. The most convenient as well as cost effective way would be to travel either by a bus or train.

Chennai to Mysore by Air: Travelling from Chennai to Mysore by air is not a very popular option among tourists. The distance from Chennai to Mysore is 398 kms. There are no direct flights connecting Chennai International Airport to Mysore airport. Thus, it is not preferred by many. Some of the Airlines offering connecting flight services include Air Asia, Indigo, India, SpiceJet and Jet Airways.

Chennai to Mysore by Train: Travelling by train is the most opted for alternative when one has to go from Chennai to Mysore. A Chennai to Mysore train takes less time and also costs less as compared to other methods. Four direct trains connect Mysore Junction Railway Station to Chennai Central Railway Station at a distance of 500 kms. These include Shatabdi Express, Bagmati express, Mysore express, and Kaveri Express. The fastest Shatabdi Express costs around INR 700 and takes about 7 hours to cover the distance.

Chennai to Mysore by Road: The Chennai to Mysore route is about 477 km by road. One can either choose to travel by bus, cab or by a private vehicle. This distance can be covered in the matter of 9 to 10 hours and it is advisable that one starts early in the morning to have a traffic-free journey. Travelling by bus is opted by many because it is cheaper and the journey from Chennai to Mysore has numerous beautiful places awaiting them on their way. hich was not at all decent because it seemed like a complete mess. 2.The itinerary was not as per the travel time 3.The agent was reminded again amd again about the trip and other details. 4.The quote was finalised and accordingly i had paid my previous installment but later in extra amount was asked around 6000 extra was paid Ooty was very beautiful.The landscape,the hotel at Ooty,Hospitality of people and gardens were very good.

Overall, our recent trip was good, but we encountered a few issues that dampened the experience. Some of the places we planned to visit were closed due to the early monsoon, which was disappointing. Initially, our driver was quite rude, but after we filed a complaint, his behavior improved signific

antly, making the rest of our journey much smoother. Regarding our accommodations, the stays in Coorg and Mysore were absolutely awesome. The hospitality, comfort, and ambiance in these locations were top-notch. However, our experience at Kerala Porch.inn was less than satisfactory. The manager was very rude and uncooperative. There was no lift available, and our request for hot water was outrightly rejected. Additionally, the room locker keys were not functioning properly. We were locked out of our room for 30 minutes with our family, only to be informed later that we needed to update our locker key—something that was not communicated to us earlier. Despite these challenges, we made the best of our trip and created many wonderful memories. With a few improvements, this trip could have been perfect.

Overall it went smooth but the only problem was that I had to continuously keep in touch with the agency for transferring required amount to the booked vendors coz the travel agency that I was being alotted was incapable of handling the vendors and weren't paying the amount to them on time which I a

Another problem was they were not committed to their advance payment and were randomly asking for the payments to clear their vendor's payments which shouldn't be the case as there is a limit to an advance payment you can't just ask for advance figure like that which was very annoying.
