About Haw Par Villa in Singapore

Haw Par Villa Singapore, earlier known as the Tiger Balm Gardens is an Asian Cultural Park preserving a rich heritage. With its opening and Haw Par Villa history that dates back to the year 1937, the park stood as a great example that described the Chinese Mythology ever since. Boon Haw commissioned for statues and dioramas to be constructed in the park as a symbol to teach the traditional values between 1937 and his death in the year 1954. In the 1950s and 60s, the park served as a popular recreational spot among the families of Singapore before the advancement of modern life. The park was redeveloped a number of times in the later years. In fact, the name of the park was changed and the renaming of it was based on the Burmese-Chinese brothers Aw Boon Haw and Aw Boon Par’s names. Hence, the park was named as Haw Par Villa, where Haw and Par mean Tiger and Leopard respectively.

The Haw Par Villa Park Singapore has many things of interest that can grab the attention of the visitors. In a Haw Par Villa Tour, one can witness this park that holds many great attractions including the Ten Courts of Hell which contain the portrayal of the hell in Chinese Mythology and Buddhism. There are also other elements to it, namely the Fengshen Bang, the dioramas of scenes from the journey to the west, etc. along with the statues of many mythological and historical figures. The visitors will also find monuments especially dedicated to the Aw brothers and their parents.     I chose Travel Triangle because someone suggested me. I heard good reviews for them. I agree but upto a certain extent. Before booking, they will call you or reach out to you 10 times a day but once booking is done they don't care whether they reply in one day, two days or three days. There were cer
    tain things for which I had to chase them but was not satisfied with their answers. They will provide you an itinerary at the time of booking, you will plan your trip according to that but just 2 days before they will shuffle everything and will say it is what it is. My flight was supposed to land at 8:15 in the morning and the hotel check in was at 2:00 PM. Earlier they assured that I will get an early check in but two days before they said it's upon availability. Check in is at 2:00 PM and they scheduled a sight seeing pickup at 2:30 PM sharp because it is what it is. Before booking i was promised that the hotel serves Jain meal but the hotel clearly denied about that upon reaching there. I was told that the hotel is 4 star but it didn't seemed to be. The superior size room was way too smaller for 3 people. Food was not at all good at the property. I would really appreciate the ground team for all the arrangements they did. I would say that overall experience was good but you need to be very much sure about everything before booking because after that they will say It is what it is as if they don't care about our concern.
