We were a little apprehensive about our trip as this was the first time we had gone online for booking a holiday. But ever since we landed in Srinagar till our departure, we were so well supported by Golden Bird Tour & Travels that it was totally unexpected. They had gone out of their way to accommodate all our requests, right from the quality of room to quality of car to the choice of hotels. Moreover, the personal touch & support of Mr Shahid Bhatt during our stay was so unexpected in today's commercial world. He took all sorts of trouble to ensure that we have a fantastic vacation. Undoubtedly, Mr Bhatt was the best part of our vacation. We would like to recommend Mr Bhatt to all those who are planning for a vacation in Kashmir. Please try out Golden Bird. They are unbelievable. The best part of the trip was our Travel Agency, Golden Bird Tour & Travels. We had not expected such support & hospitality from them. We were provided all kinds of support & comfort on just a phone call. We would like to recommend all future travelers to definitely check them out for travelling to Kashmir.

The tour has been detailed in the best stay box. Here I would like to inform you that Golden Bird have not kept their confirmation and as a result we had to loose one precious night of house boat stay. The matter is reproduced below: The bitter part of the tour was on the evening when we landed at Srinagar. We were to stay that night in house boat. But to our utter surprise we were directed to go to another lake known as Nagina lake and there the boat owner refused to accept us as the boat was already occupied by a foreigner. The LADY from Golden Bird who was all along in contact and confirmed the itinerary at last moment before commencing journey, did not lift the mobile, travel triangle contact person was also not available over mobile. A new person from Golden Bird came into picture who took us to a hotel of lower standard than we booked, where we had to stay. For all viewers pls. take precaution to avoid such situation. Donot rely fully on the operator, get confirmation from the hotels/ house boat booked, see the views, room location -rear/front wehether satisfactory. best wishes. Pranab Dhar. Best stay is at Patnitop the hotel Samson and the scenic beauty. Sonemarg and Pahelgam are attractive. Could not enjoy Gulmarg as it was raining, its better not to take the gondola ride if it is raining. However the scenic beauty in all the places of snow clad mountains surrounded by pine forest and flowing rivers is very attractive. Regarding house boat one has to make sure that Deluxe A grade dull lake house boat opposite to ghats 4, 5,6,7(not remember about 1,2 & 3) is allotted.Other boats are behind and on stinking area of dull lake. One can stay for a night without sharing with unknown tourist. I personally not in favour of staying in house boat as it is clumsy, isolated discharging every thing into the lake. Its better to take 2 hrs. shikara ride and stay in a hotel. We are thankful to the tour operator as they have kept our request to have kitchens of our food restrictions. We are very much thankful for providing a very good driver. Driver Deepak (mob: +919906152649) with his Innova made us, the 3 couples at the age of around 60 very happy.
