I had a really great trip - particularly want to highlight Sumit's flexibility and responsiveness to adapt to my needs during the trip. Although I was only traveled from Friday morning to Monday Morning, we were able to pack a lot in at the pace I wanted. I originally stayed at the Hyatt Regency for the first two, but I wanted to get into the green/fresh areas for the second night - Sumit quickly found a GEM (trip advisor top rated place) just outside the city at the top of the valley next to the Shivapuri reserve, and after another morning of sights, monuments, and local cuisine I was able to spend the afternoon/night hiking in the fresh air of Nepal and watching sunset/stars/lights over Kathmandu for a really nice night. The next day we were able to explore Bhaktapur enroute to a blissful day/night/morning in Nagarkot before heading home. Seeing sunrise in Nagarkot that silhouetted the distant Everest before heading home was a serene experience. When I wanted to see the Himalayas, Sumit arranged for me to do a 1.5hr mountain flight (BudhaAir) that was really nice too. Special thanks to Anil - my driver - who was outstanding. He was as flexible as he was creative - suggesting local Nepalese cuisine spots that were excellent, and driving me to a random side village outside of Kathmandu so I could go for a long (green) run through the unpaved village areas. Anil even suggested a great run in Nagarkot and waited for me at the halfway point with water. Sumit and Anil - thanks again for an epic long weekend to your beautiful country.
Sunrise in Nagarkot. Waking up to a (standard) earthquake. Running through local villages along unpaved trails. Smiling, genuinely nice Nepalese!
