This was our first experience with travel triangle but we are sorry to say that it was not a good one.
1. For Gangtok sight seeing on one of the day we had 7 places to visit but we were actually able to visit only 3 because only 1 of the place took 4.5 hours (4 hours Journey Only) to travel so it was completely illogical on the part of tour opertor to put 7 places in a single day. On appealing the same the reason we got was that "just because you said i added the point but i knew it was not possible to complete 7 places". If that was the case you should have guided us properly before so tht we could have added day in Gangtok because we are tourist and it was very obvious we did not knew anything about roads and timings.
2. Lachen hotel was changed at last moment for the reason that food quality was better than the previous hotel. But the food they offered was not only worst but the hotel staff didn’t even knew that we were pure veg (They only Have NON VEG FOOD READY ) and the result was they did not make any proper veg food.(they given Dal Rice and Chapati after 1 hours ) which was Worest ... For Lachen .. we were on salads only. (We purchased From Out Side ) .... When we told to Tour Oprator Indrajeet about this problem then he Replied in Chat Box
" Dear sir
• Yes Tourism India is no way responsible towards the quality of food, taste, quantity served at Hotels or any other place served by vendor. At remote island or places the food served would be as per local and market availability. sir we never recommend for Map plan because food test is not our part of service “
3. On returning Gangtok, our luggage was in 1st hotel which had to be shifted to another hotel. But we were left on taxi stand stating to take our personal taxi for shifting and reaching the other hotel. We were not informed about this at any point of time by the tour operator. The conditions worsened because it started raining heavily and we had 12 heavy luggage bags to carry and over and above that to take advantage of situation the local taxi drivers took ₹ 300/- (total 900 for 3 cabs) instead of fair charge of ₹ 100 - ₹ 150. Finally, we ended up paying ₹ 1500/- (600 ₹ for Transfer Luggage) extra out of our pocket inspite of paying tour operator heavy amount. We wasted our 2 to 3 hours doing all this instead of exploring Gangtok city. On the other hand, we ourselves had to cordinate with driver, the main tour operator and local tour operator. There was no cordination among the tour opertor and the drivers. And as there was no network connection we also were not able to cordinate with them (though it was not part of our duty).
4.Till We Reached at Baba mandir No one Told Us about permit is not Done for Nathula . We were in Between stopped to take Snow Jacket and boots for Nathula (because there was snow only at Nathula ) . We have Spent ₹350 each Means ₹3150 For 9 persons for Rent which was wasted due to permit was not available which no one informed us Till Reaching Baba Mandir. Even When we came back sumo Dropped us at Stand only From There we have to pay 400 Rs to Cab to Reach at Hotel.
5. In package we were informed for sightseeing on the way from Gangtok to Pelling (5 sightseeing) but driver was informed of only transfer from Gangtok to Pelling without any halt and again we had to cordinate with local tourist, the main tourist and the driver ending up to waste our 2 hours and again missing Samdruptse and Sai Mandir sight.
6. Darap homestay (a little away from Pelling) was strongly suggested by the tour operator and we are thankful to him for that because Sukhim Village retreat was one of the best experience we had in our entire tour.
7. For Darjeeling the hotel was suggested by the tour operator but on reaching hotel we found that there was no water in the hotel, not even in washroom and the situation remained the same from 3.00 pm to next day morning 7.30 am. In such situation tour operator did not support us in any way (changing hotel). Also, the rooms provided were so small that after adding an extra bed (we had opted for 3 people in room) there was no space in room to walk. On talking about the same wid the tour operator he said " give me in writing that if i have ever said that i will offer you big rooms". All talks were done on cellular phone which is the most trending device now a days and therefore we had no proof for the same. So it was our mistake to use phone with this tour operator and we had to put down our point. So henceforth while cordinating with this tour operator or with travel triangle, make sure you get everything in writing by mail or any other means and not on phone. The food offered by the hotel stinked a lot and when we complained the same to tour operator, he said no tour operator do not gaurantee the quality of the food. So then why did we pay for stay, breakfast and dinner? When you are paid for something it is very much your responsibility to look after it from every angle for the best service. Or else please do not ask money for that. Every and any tourist pay to hotel only for good service, good rooms and good food. And nothing was accomplished in Darjeeling hotel. After tour operators own recommendation we opted for hotel he had suggested and after having bad experience with hotel when we complained for the same we were answered " you should have actually opted for Hotel Summit or some other 4 or 5 star hotel". But even if it is a 1 star hotel, definitely no1 is going to eat 8- 10 days old food. And the answer provided was worst on the part of tour operator. “Yes Tourism India is no way responsible towards the quality of food, taste, quantity served at Hotels or any other place served by vendor” and for water Problem he told " one bucket of water is Rs 120 in Darjeeling "
8. Things are changed at last moment and also informed at last moment and many a times it created a havoc to arrange our self with changed situation. For eg. for first day we were informed of 2 Sumo or Bolero for transfer from airport to Gangtok but were provided with a Sumo and a Wagon R
9.Erlier it was told to us that Parking fees driver will give at the time of booking ....but when we were on trip Driver Refused to pay and Finally We paid total 390 Rs Parking Fees in our full Tour
At they end They Deducted 1500 rs from 2730( Includes 440 Rs For Cab for Pashupati market ) which we given From our Pocket at the time of tour for Extra cabs and parking
Some Cabs provided to us were having Very worest Conditions ... Seats Were having big cuts due to which all sponge came out ...and it was very uncomfortable ... There are No option to upload Photos with Reviews on travel Traiangle other wise that was very easy for other to understand our problems which came in Journey
