All it started 6 Months back when I booked airplane tickets to our Gangtok-Darjeeling trip for a week and started looking for a good travel agency which can help to fullfill my customised requirements and there came the Golden Vacations via Travel Triangle. Myself I had decided on the hotels and tour spots in Gangtok, Namchi, Darjeeling & Mirik Lake. It was a good interaction with Golden Vacation Staff. Ms. Anju had taken care of finilizing my trip. I would like to mention her attentiveness toward a customer and understand requirements and provide appropriate options. Sanjeev, Tanmay, Tamalika has taken care at approprate times. All the vehicles and drivers provided by Mr. Kumar and Samshersingh were really polite and care taking. Unfortunately I choose May for our trip, instead I should have chosen a period between March-April when the Himalayan skies are expected to be much clear than May. Even though our trip went well except for couple of spots where we have to face rain and couldnt enjoy them. Thanks to Golden Vacations, Mr. Kumar and Mr. Samsher to make a memorable trip for me and my family. Next time also I will definitely consider them for my next North-East trip. 1) Changu Lake Gangtok 2) Peace Pagoda Darjeeling 2) Tea Gardens and Pine tree views on the way from Darjeeling to Mirik Lake.

TRANSPORT

Location of hotels at Gangtok (Golden Star Continental & Spa) and Darjeeling (White Yak) was very bad. I had two days of stay at Darjeeling in white yak. Room Size on first day was 8' x 9' (approx.). I'd opted for 3 star/4 star hotels then on complaint and when talked to Mr. Sanjeeb of Golden Vacation, I was given comparatively good room on the second day. Room at Gangtok (Golden Star Continental & Spa) was also not good. Hotel staff (especially room services) at White Yak was very helpful, co-operative and good. Hotels at Lachung and Pelling was good. Food at all locations was good. Except for Darjeeling, when our vehicle was changed, driver in Sikkim was Excellent. On Day 1 in Darjeeling, we had to visit Tiger Hill. We were ready at 3:45 am. But driver did not come. His mobile phone was switched off. Ultimately, we had to drop two points from our itinerary. Mr. Rakesh Pant of Travel Triangle was available only between 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM (his phone remains switched off or went un-answered). And usually day start at 4:00 AM / 7:00 AM during the tour. So we also feel helpless sometimes when we need help from TravelTriangle. Mr. Sanjeeb of Golden Vacation was very helpful. While planning Sikkimg - Gangtok, one must include Gurudogmar lake, Zero point and Nathu la - for other places, even if you go or not does not make much difference.

I booked my trip of darjeeling with travel triangle. Booking process was easy and nicely compiled. Follow up could be better by them. weather

It was a great experience to book with travel Triangle. The agency Golden vacations did a great job. Special thanks to Biswajit for coordinating all along the trip. The drivers were excellent and on time. The trip was very well organized. I would definitely be planning a trip again. Just a small suggestion, please follow up with the customer often before the trip as it really comforts the traveler of a pleasant and nice journey. Gangtok is a beautiful place. I would suggest travelers to to visit more places in Gangtok rather than going to Darjeeling.

Recently i went to Sikkim through Golden Travels, the hotels were as per the quotation and location of the hotels were superb. Further throughout the travel we were provided a single car with same driver who was very jolly and informative too. Overall experience of travel was excellent with Golden Travel People. Special Thanks to Shri Biswajit Das, (Tour Cordinator), Ms Tamalika (Very quick and responsive is providing qutations ) and Shri Nore Bahadur (Taxi Driver). Some changes in plan were also entertained during the travel. In future if i visit Nepal or Bhutan i would definitely give preference to them.

All the hotel having a desired view of Hills...In a short excellent hotel for vacation. I must say, there is a lack of man-management in travelers end.Car Drivers are not Tested and not so co-operative. Need some major improvement on man-management.
