too dumb for a professional driver. We had a far better experience last time when visited same venues. Driver is supposed to tell about some specialties of the region, take us to places of interest and communicate and co-ordinate with local hotels, shops etc as we struggled with language. He would just leave us to the destination and say goodbye! He would arrive only at pickup time that too after calling couple of times. Driver was reluctant and ignorant about geography of the area. If I ask about some tourist place to see on the way, he would not react at all!! I have seen far better tour guides as drivers.About the agents, they are overenthusiastic at the time of booking & payment proceedings; but same is missing during the tour. I had problem at check out from Munnar Black Forrest. Agent had booked rooms thru OYO. According to house of tours agent OYO had not paid 1400/- amount to the hotel, I had to wait for one and a half hour to get things sorted out. My agent both from house of tours as well as travel triangle were not available on cell phone immediately. Outside office hours it is difficult to trace these guys. I feel that travelers should get courtesy calls from agents during the tour asking if everything is fine? Just as when the tour is completed they call for testimonials!!!
