Me and my wife spent 3 days in Hong Kong and 2 days in Macau and here are the comments:
The good:
1. Schedule Walkthrough: Superbly done
2. Tickets and Hotels: no problems at all
The can-be-improved:
1. Communication: The responsiveness can be improved. I got the answer quite a long time after posting a question. A couple of times I called because of some urgent query I had, but there was no response at that time, and I got a response an hour or so later
2. Local Cab driver and Travel Agent on ground: We were told that we would be in SIC (sharing coach) wherein we would be sharing the cab with other people; but when we reached there we realised it was not just that, we were sharing the same schedule with 3 other cabs (7 families). So there were instances when we (the people in our cab) were completely ready from one destination to move to the other but had to wait for a long time because some families in some other cars hadnt completed their sight seeing. That soured the experience a bit.
I also had some confusions regarding check ins and got it clarified after calling the airlines myself.
To summarize, I would recommend Smiling Trips to those who wish to travel. The planning is good; its just the execution that might need some tweaking and improvement; and communication would be one good way to start with.
Make sure you choose good hotels (personal choice though); it enhances the experience of the trip. Hong Kong is good, but city tour looked okayish to me. Disneyland stood out; Ocean Park was moderate to good. Macau is an awesome place. Again, the city tour doesnt have much; would suggest you all to just visit A-ma temple and Ruins of St. Pauls if you wish to.
