On an average the flight from Delhi to Ahmedabad takes around 2.5 hours, but if you are going to other destinations such as Vadodara or Surat, you can expect to spend a minimum of 2 to 3 hours on the flight. All major airlines offer services from Delhi to Gujarat such as Vistara, SpiceJet, IndiGo and Air India. It is the fastest way to get to Gujarat, although it is slightly more expensive that traveling by train.

By Train: There are a plethora of trains that connect Delhi to various cities across Gujarat, such as the Gujrat S Kranti, the Sarvodaya Exp, the Ashram Express, the Porbander Express and the Sultanpur Ahmedabad Express among several others. There are more than 150 train stations all across the state, and most of them offer trains to Delhi or nearby areas. The average journey for getting to Gujarat from Delhi is of around 12 to 18 hours. If you have ample time and are looking for budget travel options, trains are your answer.

By Road: If you are planning to travel to Gujarat from Delhi via road then be prepared to spend at least 19 to 20 hours on the road. Covering a distance of nearly 1100 Kms, you can take several national highways to reach your destination. There are currently no direct buses available that take you from Delhi to Gujarat. So, if looking to travel by road, you will have to take your own car or a taxi. One thing working in your favor is that all the roads leading to Gujarat are well constructed and well maintained. This is not a very feasible way to get to Gujarat from Delhi.
