Trip To Leh Ladakh

The captivating landscape stretching across the "land of highways" explains why Ladakh Tourism tops every adventurer's bucket list. Rejoice a vacation here with the trip to Leh Ladkah by witnessing the mesmerizing views of the turquoise lakes rippling amidst the rugged valleys of the terrain. Leh Ladakh tour guide welcomes everyone to the land of adventures where trekking might seem like a hundred-to-one task but biking through the roadways thoroughly holds its own charm. Make sure to cover all Ladakh tourist places on this once in a lifetime trip.

Ladakh is located in the north-easternmost part of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It lies about 410 km away from Srinagar and 474 km from Manali via Rohtang Pass in Himachal Pradesh. It takes about 20 hours to travel from Manali to Leh by road. Tourists can opt for Volvo buses to Manali and then take shared taxis or local buses to reach Ladakh from Delhi by road. Another convenient way is to take a direct flight from Delhi or Mumbai to Leh.

Follow up the travel guide to Leh Ladakh and drive towards any destination from here and get enchanted by the pristine elegance and composure of the foothills of Kargil, one of the most popular Leh Ladakh places to visit. Besides, the crowd- pleasing Sham Valley which harbors various monasteries of Alchi, Likir, and Lamayuru is too, a major attraction.

History of Ladakh

Earliest inhabitants of the region were Indo-Aryans. Ladakh was under the rule of Kushana Empire in the 1st century AD and Buddhism spread via Kashmir and eventually to western Tibet. In the medieval period, due to several Muslim invasions several Balti people converted to Islam. Dogra Zorawar Singh invaded Ladakh in 1834 and annexed the area to the Sikh Empire. The region was divided into two district of Leh and Kargil in 1979.

Trekking in Ladakh

Stok Kangri Trek is an ideal summit trail for adventure seekers and avid mountaineers. Held every year in the summer season, this 8-day trek allows breathtaking views of glaciers and Zanskar Range. In the month of January, hundreds of trekkers reach Leh to explore Chadar trek in the Zanskar region which remains cut off by road. Suru Valley and Markha Valley is one of the most rewarding trails in Ladakh.

Bike Trip to Ladakh

Riding a bike to Ladakh is a dream of many. From Manali or Jammu, one can drive all the way to Leh, depending on the weather and road conditions. Crossing mighty mountain passes and small villages with unique culture is a major highlight of a bike trip to Ladakh. Upon reaching Leh, one can plan expeditions to Pangong Lake, Tso Moriri, and Nubra Valley by bike.

While riding from Manali, one can explore Keylong, Sirsu, and Tanglang La mountain pass to reach Leh in about 2 days. Whereas, on a bike trip from Srinagar to Leh, one can ride past places such as Zoji La, Kargil, Dras, and Lamayuru. Rated among the many dangerous pathways, a drive to the Khardung La and further down to the Nubra Valley, acknowledging well about Leh Ladakh tourism also calls for some serious aldosterone rise. A ride through the agape valleys run riot by the tributaries of Shyok and observe the improbable sand dunes of Hunder inviting the visitors with appreciating historical myths. A walk towards the ancient monasteries of Diskit and Samthanling is known to unfold many legendary anecdotes.

Ramble up to the world’s third highest pass of Chang La to witness the ravishing view of the Pangong Lake and experience the true thrills and shrills about Leh Ladakh tourism. Ladakh is well decorated with numerous silt stupas across many depreciated halts, however, topping the recommendation list of Leh Ladakh tourism, the city dots with many monasteries like Hemis, Thiksey, Tangtse, Stok, Spituk, Naropa Photang and a few more.

Tips to Visit Ladakh

2) Pack sunscreen, woollens, raingear, and first-aid on a visit to Leh.

3) Do not ignore weather warnings for dust storm and snowstorm in Ladakh.

4) Do not litter at Pangong Lake or any other place in Ladakh.

5) While trekking in Ladakh, be aware of fragile eco-system and do not harm the wildlife.

The trip waa designed beautifully and captured the significant parts of Ladakh which we desired to travel. Hotels were good except Grand Yasmin which was too busy to close rather than take good care of guests, food options were limited and okayish. The Pal and Organic Boutique were good, only the re

Shoutout to Mr Rigen Gurmet who is an exceptional driver and very kind. Thank you Trip Trail for making this trip a memorable one. I am particularly not happy with the fact that TravelTriangle is deducting extra charges on use of debit card for online payments. Such charges don't prevail in any portals if its debit card but do exist if using credit card. On reaching out to Lazy Yatra coordinator, they have put the entire blame
on Travel Triangle on such deductions and only travel triangle can return the extra Considering this and below points, it would be good to have some equivalent money reimbursed on the same. I understand that mistakes happen but i am willing to let it go if you suitably reimburse and recommend your services to my friends who are now asking me for travel reference to Leh. Other points were: 1. Out of 4 hotels that I stayed during the trip, the Misty hills cabins and Shanti nest hotel were the only ones that had professional decorum to provide bottled waters and rooms were quite ready to occupy. 2. I was very specific to coordinator Mr.Akhil to provide hotel rooms near or within Leh market for my last day but it didn't execute well. 3. Some of the places listed in my itinerary have been under renovation for months but still such places were included and I eventually didn't visit that place. 4. Guru residency even charged for 2 water bottles that were provided on my first day stay at hotel which should have been complimentary. No welcome drink was provided. Regards, RM 9677212048

We had a really memorable, delightful experience during our Ladakh trip, all thanks to Mr Santa Singh ji for his constant support and assistance throughout the trip. He provided us with excellent quality hotels even in such remote locations, great transport facility and a well planned itinerary that
covered most of the places in an organised places. He even organised a special cab for us to watch the lovely sound and light show at the Hall of Fame in Leh. Moreover, all this was done at a reasonable, competitive cost!! Would definitely recommend Travo guider and Travel Triangle for sure for all future trips!! Thanks a lot!

Avinash's 5 days trip to Ladakh

We had a great overall experience with TripTrail. In Kashmir and Ladakh due to cab driver union, the cab and driver changed. The first driver allocated to us was amazing. His name was Nubroo cab number ending with 9072. He was very helpful in explaining about places and he even assisted us in taki
ng our pics. I give 5 star for Nubroo (cab number ending 9072). He was with us from leh to nubra valley then to pangong tso and then back to leh. The second cab driver Aga (cab number ending with 9070) was not good. He was an escapist. He kept asking if we can avoid visiting the places in itinerary and kept showing disinterested in driving and even lied to us openly saying this place is not good let us skip it. Such drivers give bad experience to tourists. He was there with us from leh to srinagar. The Srinagar driver Shakeel (cab number ending with 6470) was average. First day he tried his best to be professional. Next day onwards he showed minor disinterest and he even argued with Indian Army official in one incident. I feel such things is common among drivers in that region. He was with us for Kashmir local sight seeing. Hotels booked by TripTrail was very good. We loved the choice of hotels provided by them. 1. Sangaylay palace at leh - excellent rooms and food. 2. Organic boutique hunder - excellent view and organic food. 3. Royal foster pangong - here the owner of cottage was very helpful. 4. Chutuk heights Kargil - excellent view of Suru river. 5. Dawn house boat dal lake srinagar - excellent houseboat experience 6. Hotel blossom Srinagar - Good and safe environment. The travel agent was very helpful and always available on call. Overall I am happy that I chose triptrail.
