How To Reach Karamana River

The Karamana river flows through most of Kerala but it is one of the major highlights of Kovalam with the opportunity to go cruising, canoeing and kayaking down the river being an irresistible draw for tourists. People flock to the Karamana river also for it’s overly green banks and the beauty that it’s diverse ecosystem provides. With various flora and fauna to be observed on it’s banks and indeed, in the waters, it is a hotspot for tourist visitation. Families and solo travellers, or even those travelling with friends, all have a lot to experience in Kovalam with respect to the Karamana river in particular. With this being the case, where to go and how to reach the Karamana river to enjoy it to the fullest is something that any traveller considering a visit to Kovalam should know.

Lying between Thiruvananthapuram and Kovalam, the Thiruvallam boat club is the best place for tourists to visit to enjoy the river to it’s fullest. Thiruvananthapuram is the nearest bus stop, train station and airport as far as proximity to this spot is concerned. Both the train station and the airport are 5 kms and 6 kms away from the boat club respectively. The best way to reach is by taking an auto or a cab from Thiruvananthapuram. This option also works for those staying in Kovalam itself as it is a mere 7-8 kms from Kovalam as well. Therefore unless, tourists have rented scooters or other vehicles, auto and cab are the only options to get to this particular spot. As all the distances are relatively less, it isn’t time consuming or very expensive to reach this spot and enjoy the unique beauty of the Karamana river.

    My travel agent was jaunt holidays. Stay at Munnar was excellent at princess de munnar. But stay at hotel pagoda was a worst experience with no good ambience, careless response from room service and worst food. Response of travel agent was excellent. I need not worry and from the time getting down a
    t Rly station till return back to station everything was arranged perfectly. Except accomodation at pagoda for one day, the entire trip was smooth and pleasant.
