Perched on a hilltop, the beauty of the Monsoon Palace illuminates the skyline of Udaipur. This palace was created as a summer retreat for the Mewar kings where they could sit and watch the monsoon clouds, hence the name. Formerly known as the Sajjangarh Palace, this palace offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside, lakes, and palaces.

Visit this Monsoon Palace in Udaipur during the sunset as this is when the palace is illuminated and reflects an orange glow.  Situated high among the Aravali hills, this palatial residence also overlooks the pristine waters of Lake Pichola.

The Monsoon Palace Udaipur timings are from 9:30 am till 6:30 pm and is open daily. If you are an Indian national, the Monsoon Palace Udaipur entry fee is INR 10, and for foreigners, it is INR 80.

When you visit this palace, you will also get to visit the Sajjangarh Wildlife Sanctuary, at the foot of the hill.
