About Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow
The Grand Kremlin Palace is a lavishly and royally decorated palace which is now used as the official residence of the State. All the country leaders and important and powerful personalities who visited Russia, would definitely walk down this beautiful palace. This palace is incredibly beautiful and is closely associated with wealth and splendor of the Russian emperors who lived here long time ago.
This is a pretty palace with exclusive decoration and a bit different from the other royal palaces. It is a complex mixture of interconnected rooms and palaces. Guessing which part or area of the building you are standing in, is next to impossible as they all appear similar. There are private rooms which belong to the Imperial family and then there are grand reception halls as well. The next part of this palace is connected to the Terem Palace which is a subtle combination of Eastern, Russian and Italian architecture and designs. Following this, there is another wonderful part of this palace known as the Palace of Facets. Visiting the Grand Kremlin Palace is a totally rare and once in a lifetime opportunity. The interiors of the palace are so stunningly decorated and maintained that it gives the true feeling of the lavish and luxurious lives of Russian emperors, kings and rulers.
History Of Grand Kremlin Palace
The palace was originally the Moscow residence of Russian kings and emperors but under the power of Bolsheviks, the palace was closed down. From the 1930s, Supreme Soviet of the USSR hosted its sessions here. All the major and important decisions of the Soviet Union were carried out in this palace. The president uses this palace as the venue for various ceremonies. The palace is used for ceremonies such as inauguration or award and credentials events and many more. Touring across this beautiful palace will give you a feeling of traveling through time due to the innate beauty which the palace beholds which had been constructed years back in the past.
